Oh how I enjoyed my Baby Jane’s Home Cooking dinner with my sister earlier this week! As we stood in her business pondering where to dine one evening, I offered a few half-hearted suggestions, but I had no real palate for anything in particular outside of the fact that I was hungry. “Girl, let’s go to Baby Jane’s,” my sister said, smiling. My brows furrowed. “Baby who?” I'd never heard of the restaurant chain, if it even was a chain.“It’s the best. Don’t worry. You’ll love it.” She was already packing her bags to head out.Our sisterly chatter was delightful, as usual, as we made our way to McDonough. When she pulled up, I discovered the building and the parking lot to be quaint and homey, almost as if we were pulling into a relative’s driveway. The cashier greeted us with a warm smile and cheerful conversation. It was a plus so far for me. We walked past several buffet showcases, and my sister chose a table in the back. Then we headed to the first bar!I didn’t think it could get any better. I quickly filled two plates with colorful food and parked myself at our table. To my joy, everything that popped into my mouth was scrumptious! From the vegetables to the meat, from the fruits to the salad, all was delicious, deliriously so!Jae came over to our table and shared the splendor of his role at Baby Jane’s. He was the absolute best! Not only was he a divine chef, but also he was an awe-inspiring conversationalist!Folks, get on over to McDonough, GA, and delight in a wholly savory, fresh, colorful, and wonderfully seasoned meal! Tell them Claudia sent you! ?

Food, service, and prices were great! Classic southern comfort food. Buffet included free coffee and ice tea too. Highly recommend.

Omg this place is freaking awesome. I went for the first time and I though my dad was crazy for taking me to a place that didn't even look like they were open. Now I can see why they say never judge a book by its cover. The food was fantastic and the employees are wonderful and treat everyone so wonderfully.

I don’t know where these great reviews are coming from but I have to assume they were all left by people who don’t like seasoned food. This was the most bland buffet I’ve ever been to. Hush puppies were cold and chewy, fried chicken tasted like cooking oil that hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Mac n cheese tasted like watery starch, blander than basic Kraft from the box. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the owner was nice and the sweet tea is good. If you have ever had any resemblance of real southern food in your life then steer clear of this place because you will leave disappointed.

This place is all about family they're lovely to come to they engage in conversation with you they make lovely suggestions on Possible food to be eaten Also number one place to get fried green tomatoes

I wanted to put half a star this food is nasty the steak is dog food nothing was good one person working. The best thing was the Mayfield ice. I would not come back.

I'm happy to see baby Jane's doing pretty good as the situation that we're in

Price point is currently $10 for buffet. Every time I drive by, the parking lot seems empty. I decided to visit again after years of staying away. I have to say, it wasn’t bad. There was nothing on the bar that appeared old. It was fresh. The fried fish was on point. Other than adding my own salt, it was prepared very well, cooked just right. They also offered baked fish that was lightly seasoned. The chicken was and still is, always pieces that are cut very strange, whether fried or otherwise and are too dry for more liking. Unique items? Why yes, they had fried eggplant and pork rinds on the buffet and were good as well. The vegetables in general are good. Mind you, not southern prepared good, but do not taste entirely like they were just birthed from a can either. Salad bar has basic salad offerings and was fresh. The ranch dressing good. The crab salad was two helpings good! There were three fruit choices and five dessert choices. The cashier had a dual role and was also the waitress for the restaurant and did a good job keeping up with everyone. Bottom line, do I recommend you going? Yes. It might not be your first, absolutely love place to go, but you will get nourishment and be in and out quickly. ???

Very nice place to go and eat. Variety of good food, clean and reasonable price. Love it and the server was very pleasant! I will highly recommended.

If you're in the area. This place is unbeatable! I stopped for lunch and was only 10.00 for all you can eat and a sweet tea! UNBEATABLE!
