Sonny’s BBQ is a chain, and for some that automatically keeps you away. However, this is a chain that still has a smoker and cooks up some pretty tasty bbq! They have an excellent variety of meats, sides and sauces. The restaurant is remodeled and modern but still feels like a bbq joint. I also found the service to be outstanding as well. Ladrika was an excellent server and helped me in and out quickly for lunch!

Hubby and I haven’t been to a Sonny’s in ages…As I prefer more upscale restaurants but today we figured we’d give it a go and I’m glad we did. We both had the brisket (chopped as we prefer some marbling) and it was great! In fact, better than many non-chain BBQ restaurants. Neither the fries nor the baked potato were good but the brisket more than made up for it. Next time we will choose a different side. Now what made this lunch special was actually our server who was truly a beautiful Human Being, taking the time to connect at a heart level with us and made us feel happy to chat and talk. Valentina, a precious Bulgarian, was a reminder of how important real Human connection is as part of Life, and I must admit I realized how much I miss growing up in Los Angeles where we have an amazing melting pot of multi Cultural activities that makes Life worthwhile. I hope that whoever reads this review is prompted to head to Sonny’s in Marietta and is lucky enough to sit at Valentina’s table. She is an Aquarius by the way, so she is absolutely a people-person and will make you feel like you are dining in her own Home.

A must try. We were passing through on our way from Atlanta to Blue Ridge and found Sonny's on Google maps. We decided to give it a try. We quickly got a seat and ordered our food. The pulled pork and Mac and cheese were great. Some of the best I've had. The prices were great for the amount of food we got. Our server was funny and helpful. Definitely give it a try.

Brisket was delicious and the ribs! The pork and beans a bit sugary for my taste buds. The side salad was fresh and delicious as well. The sourdough bread was delicious and fresh as well. The Arnold palmers were delicious also and they gave you in a big size glass. Our server could’ve been a little more people friendly person but he was OK.

Same Great Flavor. Been 20 year's Best BBQat low CostGood Service , have time to relax to enjoy Mealsupport Hostess Be Kind

It was just okay..Mac and cheese wasn't great at all. It was oily and not cheesy. How do you mess that up?The pulled pork egg rolls were very good. The pulled pork taste like it's mix with some smokey and not smoked meat. Little flavor to it.The sauces at the table were pretty decent.I liked the smokin flavor one.

Well, as I've written many times before we love Sonny's. We wish they were just everywhere. We stopped at this location instead of our usual location on Saturday and had great friendly service at the bar for our to go order, to take home and share with neighbors. Friendly, clean, delicious.

The service was decent but the food was very disappointing. The fries were cold, the toast tasted like it had been sitting for hours and my sliced pork was full of fat. I tasted my wife’s ribs and they tasted full of fat as well. BBQ isn’t supposed to be the finest cuts of meat but it feels like Sonny’s is going with the absolute cheapest cuts.I was a huge fan of the chain before they all closed and this the first time eating at this “new” restaurant. It’s remarkably worse and they can’t even get the simple things right. How hard is it to get hot fries and fresh toast?I won’t be back and would advise you to go with a local restaurant and skip this chain.

I'd love Sonny's for many years! After it closed down in Rome I didn't realize that there was another one in Atlanta. I love the new decor. The new frontage on the building looks fantastic! The food inside was just as good as I remember! Their pulled pork egg rolls are awesome! Fantastic food! Going back soon!

I placed an order for a well done steak burger. When I got back to work and checked my food, the burger was pink all the way. I called to the restaurant and the manager wanted to argue with me about the temperature of the burger and that it was well done. I explained it’s pink. That’s not well done. Finally I said forget it and I just won’t vist the restaurant again. I have ordered this same meal several times and my burger never looked like that. I will just try Williamson Brothers since it’s not too far from this location.
