I had a great time and experience here firstly every Friday there's free entry and buffet before 8pm! You just have to RSVP the food was good, crab legs and shrimp amaaaazing! The comedy show was cool funny people performed and DJ for the dance floor was on point I don't drink alcohol but there were a few folks with drinks seemed like they enjoyed. Overall great experience if your celebrating on occasion or just want to hang out. The crowd was mixed mostly middle age a few (younglings 21+ lol)
I had some friends come into town and we all wanted to go somewhere that was grown and nice, so we decided on Monticello. I made a reservation for 4 and paid $150 for a table that came with a sampler plater and balloon decorations. To start off, when you walk in the area where the reserved tables are, the carpet is filthy. The tables are small and cramped together, which makes it uncomfortable. Our reservation was for 4 but the table only had two sets of silverware. It seemed to be only one waitress for that area and she was slow. The food on the sampler plater was over cooked. When my food came from the kitchen it was just warm so I had to send it back so they could reheat it. We asked if we could have a glass of water and was told that they are not allowed to give glasses of water, but we could buy a bottle of water for $3. The bathroom needs some serious attention as it looked old and dirty (and had an older lady as the bathroom attendant). The dress code was stated to be business casual, "strictly enforced". Not true. There were females in there with jean shorts on and flip flops. Men with ripped up jeans, but I guess since they put on dress shoes that makes it business casual.... There is an area in there where you are allowed to smoke cigars and the area we were in allowed you to smoke hookah, however some people decided to smoke cigarettes. The DJ had to make an announcement telling people that they were not allowed to smoke cigars in that section and that cigarettes weren't allowed. The smell at this point was so thick and irritating it just turned us off even more. So, out of all the places I took my girlfriends to this weekend, Monticello's was the worst and the only one that I paid a reservation for. If you're looking for somewhere nice and grown to go, Monticello's is not the place. They need to do some serious upgrading.
Visited this place for a comedy show (free), my wife and I had a good time, there were some brilliant comedians, a pretty good DJ as well, they had servers to get your drink orders, probably not enough for the volume of people in the place but they were pleasant and timely enough for being short staffed. They had a pretty nice balcony and cigar lounge, this place will be great to visit when the weather starts to warm. I did order 2 drinks, and have a shot of patron purchased, the drinks were also supposedly made with patron, the morning after let me know I wasn't served patron, so I'd watch the drinks being made if you're ordering premium alcohol .
I've been here a total of three times and each time has not disappointed me. This place it has a lot of eye candy and the staff is usually so down-to-earth and friendly. I decided to go on Sunday for the first time for brunch and karaoke and I had a blast. I love the ambience of the space and that they had a gorgeous patio where all the fly guys were. I think I'm almost in love with the place because it gives you different things to do at once if you're bored. Because of Sunday karaoke, they seat you with any random people but I ended up loving the girl I sat with. The first thing she recommended was the lobster macaroni and jerk egg rolls. I followed her lead and my God it was soooo good that I ordered another round to-go for both so that I can have some for the work week. Outstanding job on food .... I had never had jerk egg rolls and they set the bar. The mac and cheese was super creamy, soft & cheesy while the fried lobster tails was buttery and melted in my mouth. Oh and I forgot that I ordered a side of collard greens but I must say that was very Tangy, Sweet and too vinegary for my liking but I ate it anyway because it's healthy and it could have been worse. I had about four drinks so they could work on that because I didn't feel s***. Needless to say I spent about $200 just on myself... LOL I will be back.
Monticello gets a lot of attention and traction because out of the lounges to go in the Marietta Cobb county area it's one of the better places to go. The drinks are always strong but the service is definitely choppy on certain days specifically sunday's brunch outside on the patio area. The hookah is overpriced but the food is definitely good and the drinks. I think that's the reason why a lot of us keep going there. It is a good place to take your lady depending on a specific comedy show and they typically have good music. Be mindful they have certain days where they have comedy shows parties certain sections roped off and there could be a cover charge.
Delicious. Buffet little pricey but good live entertainment
It was our first time going and It's not what I expected. Its more for the younger crowd. Was ok til told we had to share a very small table with strangers. I liked our waitress. Very professional. Don't like the NO REFUND. spent a lot if money just for 15 mins. Paid for tickets, didn't stay for the show.
The size of the venue is amazing. The staff and management were friendly and gracious. We went for Friday happy hour. Reserved a table and stayed for the comedy and ended the night in their cigar bar. We had a wonderful time!! The food is really good as well. They do have a free parking deck but we choose valet which during the early evening was 20 bucks. Not sure if it goes up as the evening progresses. We will definitely be back.
Great vibe! I always enjoy comedy night on Thursdays and Saturdays. The food was good, but the drinks were a little weak. I do plan to go again.
I visited this place on last Friday night. If I could give this modern day backwoods hole in a wall DUMP a negative 0 I would. I was served a drink with glass in it. White 200lb belly stringy hair white man addressed my complaint and did nothing but apologize. My tab came to $156.00. After sitting at what was told to us a non reserved table for 2 hours we were asked to get up bc the table was reserved. The con artist waitresses, which (for some reason we had two) for only 3 guest had us to move for what appeared to be a regular. The menu advertises the mixed drinks at $14, I was charged an extra $2 for the alcohol. I order a meal to go from the menu priced at $26 I payed an extra dollar for the to go order. The food looked like slop in a box. I paid $50.00 for two buffets that serves crab legs just for them to tell me I can only get one claw. What a waste of money. This LNE have a very impressive website. In reality overall it’s a 1 star lounge. The cigar room looks like you’re hanging out back at a juke joint. The entire restaurant/lounge was smoked out. Establishments that add gratuity does not make sure that management do their due diligence when it comes to customer service. I will be getting X-rays and calling a lawyer because I cannot let this go. I will NEVER visit this place again and is encouraging everyone I know to stay way by sharing my dreadful experience via social media.
