This was my first time here at Mangos and me and my daughter enjoyed it so much! The food was seasoned to perfection. I like a little spice but if you don’t like spicy ? foods then request to have the jerk sauce on the side. Great atmosphere; staff were friendly and professional. We will definitely be going back. Great vibes and great food.
This Mangos is lousy. I paid 30 for large plate & the lady counted & saw that I only had a little bit of oxtails. She told me that it is small pieces. This happens every time I go here. I pay for large plate & they rip you off and give you a small plate. A large plate is suppose to be 8 oxtails. I just paid 3 dollars for rice & gravy basically. I requested more & she denied my request. Additionally, they over fry the plantains.
Good food, great DJ and music, long wait for food. I had stewed chicken. It was very tender.
This food is amazing! As a former New Yorker that grew up with my grandmother's Haitian and Guyanese food, I can truly say this food is authentic and well seasoned. We ordered the escovitch fish with rice and peas, jerk chicken, beef patty/coco bread and mac & cheese. The food was so good, I finally remembered to take a picture after eating half of the plate. My family and I will certainly be coming back.
Ok had to modify my review. Easy to mask flavor with a lot of spice. But after heating up leftovers I clearly didn't get chicken. Maybe turkey, and i don't have anything against turkey, but these bones aren't from a chicken unless it's a mutant. Keep in mind the tape is several inches ABOVE the bone, so perspective is off a bit. But I've cooked a lot of whole poultry and this just isn't a chicken bone.I just happened to be in the strip mall and walked in expecting a typical restaurant I probably would have walked right back out. However, I had placed a phone order for pickup, jerk chicken and oxtail. Oh and Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was way better than expected and the rest of the food was what I expected, it was delicious. Would go again for carribean food.
We walked through the door and the lady at the bar was disgusted that when even came in?? Do you like money or people or food? I think not! You were so rude as I was conversating with my bf about what to order (after you telling us only chicken was being served) but y’all were closed because you had an hour until closing ??♀️By farrrrrrr some of the worst food I’ve put in my mouth it’s all old nothing was hot nor seasoned. After taking a few bites I had to stop because I just knew I was going to be sick!!! The best Jamaican in Atl is Scotch Bonnet!!! It’s a food truck they not they nice but you will be able to eat your whole plate especially when you pay such a premium. If you ignore these bad reviews I promise your bound to be writing one! I love you friends choose wisely.
The jerk chicken pasta is delicious and I was given an enormous portion. Would recommend to anyone
