Service was awful we sat with no drink for about 30minutes and when our food came out we only got a portion of the food we order..would recommend if you want to sit 30 minutes with half your food and no drinks while your eating.. not to mention since we didn’t buy any alcohol are server never came back to check on us.
La Carreta is one of our go-to places for delicious, fresh and affordable options. They have wonderful, fresh lime margaritas (I won't touch drinks with sweet/sour artificial mixes) and some of our faves include the fried plantains with guacamole, their tamales and their variety of a la carte Tacos. We love that the restaurant isn't too big and that the service is also efficient and friendly. The attached market is a big bonus if you want to take some authentic items and ingredients home with you after your meal!
I've been dining at La Caretta for the last 4 years and I absolutely love it! Not only is the food authentic and delicious, they have the best "on the rocks" Texas Margarita this side of the Mississippi! Try the Barbacoa tacos as well and you will not be disappointed. Consistent and amazing, La Caretta is the "go to" spot for the end of a long work week.

The food was not good at all. It tasted like it was heated in a microwave, including the salsa. My friend and I didn’t even eat it. The steak tacos was of low quality. The burrito was full of rice with 3 pieces of chicken in it like it was a joke or something. The only thing decent was the plantains.
Food is delicious every time i eat there. Just very fantastic food
This is not a Mexican restaurant, nor does it claim to be. They clearly advertise that they are a Latin restaurant. The food here is outstanding. The only problem I have is choosing what to eat because it's all very good.
Ordered the brisket burrito, not traditional with cheese and red sauce which was a bummer, but the meat had good flavor. The coleslaw as a side was good and healthy. I really enjoyed their espresso drinks latte/cuppachino, nice frothy milk, which isn't listed on their menu. They happened to have live music, not sure if that's usual or just valentine's.
Great experience and Colombian authenticity. Relaxed large seating area and generous portions. If your looking for good food don't pass it up!
UNFORTUNATELY THE FIRST AND LAST TIME WE'D GO THERE!Ordered a mango margarita which came with the glass half empty. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she just looked at me with a smile and kept walking. We then ordered the Churrasco with rice and black beans; It was the worst Churrasco and rice I've eaten. We don't recommend this restaurant!
