The food here is okay. Nothing special, but not bad. It is a typical Japanese restaurant. The fish was fresh and the yaki soba was actually pretty good. The ambience is dark and relaxing. My complaint is one of the servers or manager has a bad attitude. She has her hair in a ponytail and just seems mad the whole time. The other server who is chinese with short hair was great! Overall I might come back, but there are better sushi places near where I live.
I order from here weekly but their quality keeps going down. My go to is the sushi lunch but the lettuce is frequently old and doesn’t appear fresh. The sushi has been amazing but now it’s just average.
I was informed that the House fried rice consistrd of fried rice with chicken, shrimp, beef and vegetables. The meat was dry; only 2 overcooked shrimp and there were no vegetables. It was definitely overpriced for the small portion I got. And it wasn't very good. I was extremely disappointed. This was my first and last time trying this place.
Delicious food and the staff are very nice. Reasonably priced and I enjoy the dark quiet atmosphere.
STICK WITH SUSHI. Kumo was a delightful little find. Service was attentive and efficient. We did wait a bit for the order but special Sushi orders take time and they weren’t slower than average.With two kids in the party, we ordered American “sushi” and some real sushi. I was pleasantly surprised when my 8 yr old finished the Nigiri so rapidly I couldn’t even take a picture. The fish was fresh- we could tell from the taste and smell.As other reviewers have mentioned, the miso is power-based and ordinary, and the vegetarian fried rice was mediocre too. If you go, order sushi. I did not try a lot of the extensive menu but the sushi I can endorse with confidence.
My daughter and I love this restaurant, the food was amazing, the Sashimi and the Sushi are fresh and delicious. They have large and diverse menu. Lots of good options for everyone. The staff are quick and friendly. Definitely will come back.
(A year ago)Their hibachi chicken and pink sauce is delicious!!!(Updating review) Even though their hibachi is delicious, I visited Kumo for a dine-in experience in December and saw a live roach on the floor. Yesterday we placed an order to go and the lettuce for my salad was not suitable to eat. (See attached picture) Very disappointed that I have to pay a premium for food that is wilting and cooked in a gross environment.
They gave me the shell on the crab which was not edible. It was crunchy and it was like gnawing on jerky. I called to complain because I ordered it to go and tried to eat it when I got home. The manager was very rude and would not refund me or give me a credit. I ordered almost $50 worth of sushi and this one roll was not edible. She told me she would not refund me or credit me. That she wanted me to bring the roll to her and she would make me another. I do not want another one, nor do I want to drive back there. I want a refund. I have been ordering from here for years and have never had a problem, but to see this is how they treat customers is very displeasing. I will not eat here again and I suggest you don’t either. If the owner reads this, please contact me so this can be resolved. I have been ordering from here for 4 years, I have screenshots of all the Uber eats I have from here and you can look up all my previous orders from my phone number when I called in specifically. It does not make sense that a company would not credit me 1 roll, and would risk losing all future money from me. They would make a lot more money from me if this was handled better.
Horrible customer service, they got my order wrong, didn’t greet me or my family, didn’t acknowledge us leaving. The medium steak was good the salmon was over cooked the fried rice was below average. The seating is awkward and the lighting is too dark reflects the hostesses attitude. My check was right under $100 which for a lunch for three was high but would be okay if they were more professional. Don’t Waste your time especially if your not of a specific persuasion. Or just order takeout and have Uber eats deliver it. Be prepared to be underwhelmed.
The food here is very delicious, the service is also very good, when I have any questions about the food. The waiter patiently answered my questions. This must be the place to relax every week。
