Let me start by saying, the food and service was very good. I ordered Lamb Rogan Josh and Naan. The server was kind and thoughtful. She brought me papadum and sauces prior to my meal being served. The quantity of my meal was enough for me to take home and have as dinner later in the day (two medium portioned meals). The reason for 3 stars is the building, and unreliability. When I arrived to this establishment, the first thing that stuck out, and would definitely shy many people away, is the state of the buildings exterior. Building materials broken off and piled up and generally ugly or run-down looking. I told someone in my class about how good the food was, and they said to me "I thought that place was closed down", based on the exterior appearance.Walking inside, there is a definite housekeeping issue, and again, this would make some people say "nevermind". Beginning at the entrance, there is no effort at making clear signage to point diners to the correct door to enter. There is simply a thin, uneven, hand-drawn arrow next to a door, that points to a different door (which is the entrance). While arriving at said door, it's clear that it is outdated and ill-fitting. Sure, it works as a door, but isn't a good first tactile feel for a new place to eat. There is definitely a layer of "stickiness" to the surface of the door - easily noticed while opening it, the skin on your finger tips seems to lag behind while you remove your hand - ew... I thought, as I rubbed my fingers together in a poorly executed attempt to clear my fingers of the lingering sticky feel. Okay... sure; by this point you may think I'm just being a nitpick, and you're right. But I'm writing this to give aid, both to potential consumers and the owners of this establishment. The door.. just spray it and clean it.I walk through the interior threshold, and I'm promptly greeted by a female voice from afar, with forgotten words of welcoming. At the same time, I'm hit with a stagnant, humid, heat. There is no air conditioning. Ughhhh... I don't like writing this part at all, and here's why. The A/C is broken. How am I to quantify whether this has recently happened, or whether the owner can afford to have it repaired? This, I have to look past. There were a few blower-type fans aimed sporadically around the dining floor, possibly with consideration, and the woman who greeted me considerately seated me in aim of one of these fans. It really wasn't bad, and it kind of made me feel in-tune with the food I had planned on ordering.Something of note: it was lunch time, in a very busy area, and I was the only person seated in the restaurant. What's my point? Not really sure. Are people wavered by the aesthetics of the building? Does everyone know something that I don't? Does no one around these parts enjoy Indian food?So.. the building is ugly as hell. The door is sticky. The owner may not have the funds, or care to repair the A/C. There's a lack of cleaning. All of these things would be a dead-stop to most folks wanting to try a restaurant...Not me. I love Indian-style cuisine. It's so unique, so rare and I love how I can have it mild and flavorful, or burn your lips-off spicy (though I tend to order "white-guy spicy", and those who take my order tend to understand this).

I took a chance on trying this place and I regret it terribly. It isn't the worst Indian food of my life but it's right up there. Food has to be pretty bad for me to throw it out and nearly all of this $53 meal is now in the trash. The shrimp korma had 7 small-ish shrimp for $16. All 7 still had the tail on and 2 still had half the shell on. They were rubbery, gritty, and had a bad ammonia aftertaste. The chicken vindaloo was a super weird sweetish curry that we couldnt even salvage the gravy from. The assortment appetizer platter (see picture) was gross.. super greasy, tough, overcooked, dry, and inedible. Even the papadoms arrived smashed (might be the driver's fault on that one).To the owner: if you read this, I do not intend to be rude or offensive. Based on my experience, you need to take a look at your kitchen operations and work on your recipes and cooking techniques. Also, please don't copy/paste your standard "we are gutted" response like all the other reviews. It's better to not say anything than to paste the same canned response.

My favorite place to get my favorite food. Staff is amazing and the food is excellent and well priced, biriyani, lamb korma. You won't be disappointed if you love indian food

My wife and I have been going to Haveli for over 25 years and today was the first time that I’ve ever felt the need to voice a complaint. The tandoori chicken was clearly not fresh, nor was the chicken in my tikka masala. Hopefully this is isolated but we’ll have to wait a while before going back because of this experience.

overall, it has great food and good service. usually, pretty empty, and the wait time isn’t bad at all for hot, fresh food. I would love if they could do some aesthetic renovations as the interior looks fairly aged, and if they could have more vegetarian curries on their menus that don’t have Paneer. also, please serve onion and lime with your curries, as they are typically served at other Indian restaurants. overall, still the best restaurant in the area, but it could use some minor improvements!

Excellent food, ready when promised, and the hostess was very sweet. We ordered Chicken Makhni, Lamb Korma, Garlic Naan, Chicken 65, Raita, Papadams, and it was all delicious. The chicken 65 did have a kick to it, but it wasn’t too much heat. I’d recommend ordering the raita to go with it. The menu wasn’t clear on if the entrees came with rice (I seem to remember other reviewers saying they had to order rice separately), we ordered rice just in case, but ended up with three giant styrofoam containers of rice, so it does come with the entree, for clarification. For the money, we were very happy with the amount and quality of food at Haveli. I highly recommend!!

Pretty good. Everyone liked it and the service was friendly. Very affordable for this area. Building is fairly old, needs renovations. They had a printed piece of paper under our food which looked cheap. They had no paper towels in the mens bathroom.

We love Haveli, although we have not set foot inside the location we order from them often. Their curries are excellent and the food always comes piping hot! When peak Covid was hitting hard they sent us some desert and extra Naan with a handwritten thank you for ordering.

I was not impressed with this place it's been in my neighborhood for years and I finally went out there and got some food and the next day I was violently ill. I do not know if the two are related but I laid a bed for 2 days afterwards. However the flavor was pretty good and all presentation was nice although it looks like the place going out of business cuz I went there with should have been hot lunch time and place is empty so I imagine it's going out of business because there was nobody there
