Amazing service under new management. I went in with a group of friends on a Saturday craving some good homemade southern food and upon arrival we were greeted by warm friendly smiles. There are many options to choose from which all looked amazing, I wanted to try everything. For the portions that I received, the price was unbelievably good compared to other southern food spots. My favorites were the peach cobbler, baked chicken and Mac & Cheese. It tasted so good and we can’t wait to come back again.
Place is DELICIOUS. Had the American Combo with two meats and two veggies, fried chicken was crispy and seasoned beautifully, Mac and cheese was killer. Love the energy of the new staff and management happened to be on site and greeted us with delightful welcomes. Thinking I’ll be back for seconds for dinner tonight…love that management is keeping the place spotlessly clean.
This place used to be fantastic. Absolutely horrible now. They are under bee ownership and they could not be more clueless as to how to run a successful restaurant. The 'cherry on top' is that they charge an extra $3 for all credit card transactions - no matter the size! I've never witnessed such stupidity. Neither myself nor any of the members of my party will EVER go back to The Green Tomato!
This place Has gone downhill fast. They got new owners and they are changing everything. They expect you to pay $11.65 for a small piece of baked ham and less than a spoon full of vegetables. I can go right down the road to the all you can eat buffet and eat all I want for the same price. My advice to the Servers, go find a new job because this place will close soon. I enjoyed it for the last year.
I tried this place for the first time for lunch & I can honestly say that it was really good. I got the baked chicken( the chicken was really great) with green beans & mashed potatoes with gravy! I definitely would be back.
Staff is incredibly nice, but the quality of food has decreased and the prices have increased. I was completely disappointed today. I paid my money for 2 little pieces of chicken and some peach cobbler that had 2 little pieces of peaches in it. I will not be returning. I am upset that I wasted my money here. Almost everything is cooked with pork so if you don’t eat pork then good luck. I couldn’t believe how much the price had increased. I wouldn’t have been upset if the food quality matched the price but it absolutely does not. I used to really enjoy this place but now I’m extremely disappointed.

This place is AMAZING. The food and service is great and prices are very reasonable like 8$ for a very BIG plate of pure southern food. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. This is better than some of my grandmothers cooking. If I could I would give 10 stars out of 5.????
Baked Chicken leg quarters, green beans, collards, and corn bread with a drink $8.99Double meat +$2. The ladies working here are super nice too! All veggie plate is $6.99.Choices change daily. Eat in or take out. Delivery through Grubhub but they mark up plus delivery charge.
I come here at least twice a week and I always buy 2-3 meals for myself and my Sisters. Today, I decided to have the baked spaghetti. It looks delicious, but, it is horrible...way too salty!! I love their yams, but, after today, I will not be ordering them again. When I got my order, I noticed that I received less yams than usual and when I asked about it, I was told that they can now only provide 2 pieces per order. Wow!The Ladies are always super super nice, friendly and fast. The Cafe is always clean and presentable for eating in. I will remain a Customer, however, I now know what to not order.
