Ordered online, delivered by Uber.French toast was delicious.Create your own omelet was excellent.Smothered biscuit, (c.f.stk) was fantastic.Our grits were left off order but we had such big portions it didnt matter.We will be ordering again.
First visit to Derek's after hearing about it for awhile now from friends. Arrived about 10:15 as the lunch offerings were put out. While the meat & veggies looked delicious, I was excited to hear they serve breakfast all day. Decided on the pancake breakfast- 2 cakes, 2 eggs, and sausage, which I subbed for bacon. The bacon was the only disappointment- 2 very thin pieces not as wide as your finger and stuck together. Still good & crispy. Other than that, the breakfast was a success. Eggs & pancakes were delish too. Lots of folks came for take out while I was there, as well as sit down diners. Most everyone was ordering breakfast, so I'd say that's a likely favorite for regulars. They had a choice of sandwiches, salads, and even some Spanish dishes. I'm anxious to visit again soon and try the lunch menu.
We waited an hour and a half for our food because the printers messed up and our ticket got lost. The waiter didn’t explain that to us and just had us waiting, hungry, tired and confused. We had to go investigate what was going on when we started seeing other people get their food before us even though we ordered 45 mins prior to them. We picked this place as a double lunch date with some friends and this just made the experience poor. The manager came over to us 1.5 hours later and apologized and told us what happened and offered a 10% discount which I think should have been more. I just think the communication between the cooks and the waiters was off and we suffered that day. I’m sure it is not like this normally, the manager said they are usually way faster.The food was good. I got a Greek omelet & a side of French toast. That French toast was delicious. The omelet was average could have used more seasoning. On a regular day I’m sure this place is a great spot. The people were kind, I just wish they had communicated better and told us earlier that they lost our ticket rather than making us wait almost 2 hours not knowing what’s going on or when our food was coming.
Best Greek Omlette in Georgia! I don't know anywhere else in the Atlanta region that offers Greek omelet and this certainly has to be the best in the state. The staff are friendly, the coffee is hot, the food is served hot, and they always make sure that verything is just right. My daughter is a real foodie and she showed me this restaurant years ago and it has become one of our favorites.
Amazing breakfast place! I had the smothered chicken fried steak. Yumm! Wife had the Irish Benedict with corned beef hash and loved it.Coffee's good, hash browns are good, service was excellent and prices are reasonable. I'm in a wheelchair and they were quick to accommodate.
My wife had eggs Benedict and it was delicious!! I had the breakfast sandwich which was country fried steak with sausage gravy. WOW! Easily top five country fried steak all time!! I had a side of over-easy eggs & hash browns. Wife also had hash browns. Could have been a little more done, but I'm sure they'd do that if we asked. And their lunch buffet looked WONDERFUL!! We'll definitely be back.
I usually get carryout, call in, get sandwiches or breakfast to go but today I tried the Cuban and it was the best I've ever had. I also just realized they have a hot table buffet. Haven't tried it yet but everything on it looks Amazing.I can't wait to come back and try it!My "Go To's" here are the Texas Steak and Cheese Sub and the Omelets. I also love their Cornbeef hash. I only found this place a couple months ago and it's easily now my Favorite breakfast spot. Seating is sometimes tight (weekend mornings) but once you've tried the food, you'll understand why. 5 Stars!
Not as good as it used to be. Cold food served (twice) to the wife. Flavor of food - meh. Makes me wonder if people taste the food they make or are in a constant mindset to improve what they do. Will visit them only if I am in a pinch to get something quick in the area. Any waffle house will be better. Service staff was friendly.
Ordered breakfast and had it delivered. The pancakes and French toast were excellent. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly prepared. The serving size was substantial and the quality of the food was fresh. We will order again!
My husband recommended Derek's to me because he really likes the BLT. I tried a breakfast sandwich and both were delicious and the customer service was fantastic. I even enjoyed a nice conversation with the gentleman up front. Congratulations again on 25 years of marriage. Definitely a go to for our family going forward.
