Well, after many many many years of coming to Dave Poe's, I now officially miss Sam and Dave's. I ordered the pulled chicken mac and cheese and baked beans (this is the only thing I've ordered from here since i was a kid). Chicken is sliced breast, very dry and the beans just don't taste the same. Mac and cheese is still amazing but for $17 a plate, the amount is crazy small. $11, sure...$12, tops... ohwell.
There is nothing, at all, bad about the food - there is, also, in my opinion, nothing brilliant about it either It’s better than any fast food in the area… Plenty of free parking

Meh. Both the ribs and brisket were dry. Not a lot of smoke flavor on anything. It was slow when I went so perhaps I was getting proteins that have been reheated or sitting and drying out for a while. Sides were decent, I enjoyed the Mac and cheese and potato salad. Service was good and fast and the portions are generous.
Baby back ribs were on the dry side & not meaty. Fries were an odd color and tasted of old oil that needs changing. Pulled pork was dry and not hot. Onion rings also tasted of old fryer oil. For the price, meh. Not as good as it used to be.
Best barbecue in Atlanta hands down, they never disappoint. My husband and I come here every couple weeks to get our fix, def go for the ribs, brisket and Mac and cheese.
They had great customer service and food.Valerie could not of been a better server. I highly recommend this place.
My family has been eating at Dave Poe’s BBQ for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always phenomenal, the owner and staff are the nicest and the establishment is always clean. We love Poes!
Placed a decent size order for a co-workers retirement lunch at work. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with the portions to order. Even took a last minute change to the order the night prior to pickup. Food was ready upon my arrival at the scheduled time. Staff confirmed the order was correct and helped me get everything into my car. Fantastic experience, and the food was AMAZING! I'll definitely be back to have lunch again soon.
If you want good brisket and sides, stop here! Chicken, wings, and redneck lasagna are top notch as well. Good prices
