Happened to find this place by accident and I’m so glad we gave it a try. The service was amazing and the food was awesome. We had catfish and red beans. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Can’t wait to go back!

LOVE supporting vet-owned businesses... But this was a 5 star trip even if it weren't. Amazing food and awesome service. Red beans and rice like back in Louisiana, great fish, pork rinds so fresh they were still popping when they got to the table. Do yourself a favor and order a side of the Voodoo sauce regardless of what you decide on; shoe leather would be tasty slathered with it.

We just had a great family meal! The Cajun crispy catfish was so tasty and not greasy at all! The po-boy had really good bread. The fried green tomatoes are a must! Thanks for a great dining experience.

Various things ordered. All excellent. Catfish - awesome! Mac and cheese - awesome! Poboy, fried green tomatoes, blue berry cobbler and more (oh yeah, the blackened tacos) awesome! Thanks Miriam for awesome service!

Tried this restaurant today 5/18/22… had been wanting to stop in before but could never find time. Ordered out, my food was sealed upon delivery so I’m happy about that. I love okra so it was delicious but the fish on the other hand was very bland and burnt ! Not sure how it’s being seasoned prior to frying but the seasoning isn’t sticking. Hush puppies were delicious as well. I would say I’ll be returning but upon eating my mean I find a piece of hair fried onto my fish so yea it’s a definite no for me!

Server was cold and dismissive. Started walking away before we were done placing our orders. The food was hot and came out very quickly, which is awesome, but one of my pieces of fish smelled very off and I expected more food for the price. This place has potential and I’m hoping my experience was not how they typically treat customers. My rating mostly reflects the experience here and not the food.

Fantastic fried catfish. Never had such good fried okra out. Fried green tomatoes melted in my mouth with deliciousness. Every dish was hot & served by a charming, funny lady. Loved the blues playing at just the right level.

Crispy catfish is great! The batter is light and crispy. Fried okra, hush puppies and corn bread are above average by far. Staff is friendly.

I visited this black owned establishment on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Upon arrival I noticed it is in a plaza with other businessesand they also have a drive thru on the side of the restaurant. Upon entering the business it was not crowded at all and there was only one other patron inside. The business itself was clean and had a homey feel. I noticed immediately that the business has a 100 health score which is excellent. I was greeted immediately by an employee and since they have so many to go orders I confirmed that I wanted to dine in. I was seated at a nice table in the middle of the restaurant and given a menu. I couldn’t come to a place like catfish hox and not try the catfish. I decided to really sample their menu and I ordered the following items: southern street corn, a small chicken dumpling soup to go, the crispy catfish entree, a small red beans & rice, grilled jalapeño cornbread, green beans with garlic chips, a sweet tea, and a turtle brownie. Not long after I ordered all of these items, the street corn was brought to my table. It was a set of 3 corn on the cob piece with crema sauce and pimento on top. The corn itself was quite flavorful and crisp from grilling process. The crema sauce and pimento toppings were a perfect balance of savory flavor with the sweetness and grilled perfection of the corn. I did add a dash of salt to the corn which further enhanced the flavor. I honestly could’ve had another order of the corn it was so good. Shortly after the corn, I was brought the catfish dish which consisted of okra, crispy catfish, and hush puppies. I actually didn’t take a photo of this dish because I was so busy eating it up. The catfish was fresh, crispy, and hot temperature wise. I did do the honors of dressing it up with hot sauce and it was quite flavorful with perfect breading and fish flakiness. The hush puppies were also crisp and had bits of corn in the middle of the breading which were added a great balance to the crunchiness. The okra was crisp and fried well, but it was not flavorful at all. I had to add salt to it because it tasted like fried plain okra with nothing on it. The red beans & rice, green beans, and jalapeño cornbread were brought out afterwards. The red beans & rice with sausage was pretty tasty. It reminded me a slight bit of how Popeyes red beans & rice used to be back in the day. The rice was cooked perfectly and the beans and sausage was savory bringing the entire dish together so well. The green beans were slightly crisp and included pieces of mushroom and garlic sautéed into the dish. They were very flavorful and didn’t need any type of salt or anything. This is a good option if you would like to add a vegetable to your lunch or dinner of choice at this establishment. The mushroom and garlic paired so well with the crunch of the green beans. The jalapeño cornbread had a bit of grill marks on it and I could immediately see the jalapeño bits mixed into the bread. The cornbread remind me of a Jiffy type cornbread with a softness in texture and a formed consistency. I could definitely taste the jalapeño pieces which were not really spicy meaning they removed the seeds before blending it into the bread. It was like eating a well mixed cornbread cake. I was not able to finish all of this cornbread so I did take it home and even when I reheated it in the microwave it was still pretty good to eat. The sweet tea was also in a cute Mason Jar and definitely had that Southern style tea flavor I love. The staff did a great job of a balancing the drive thru business and the dine in business as well. There were definitely more people who trickled in for dine in service as I finished my meal. There were also a lot of to go orders where people came into the building to pick up their order and leave. Overall this was a good experience and the service was good. I ate most of my turtle brownie which was ooey gooey chocolatey and had lots of walnuts as well. I would recommend this establishment to anyone in the Marietta area.

Great quality food and one of our favorite southern cooking spots in the area. The smoked wings are delicious and of course the catfish is incredible! It stays crispy, even after refrigerated. We also like the fried okra and Mac n cheese! They even have a convenient drive thru, but would suggest calling ahead still as they are not fast food.
