Great Service, broad menu selection for food and wine, however, the food quality was just ok, nothing special.
Aspens is a great place to go with grandma. The place is lovely, the noise is minimal, the service is excellent, and the food is fairly good. The food is really the only issue with this place. The trout is served on Gouda grits and garnished with a corn succotash. Ok, but then sop the plate with a beurre blanc? Why? I asked for asparagus instead of the succotash (corn and tomatoes) but was not allowed to do a substitute. Asparagus would be great with a BB. Corn and tomatoes NOT with a cream sauce. Made no sense. The meat is served a la carte, just so you know. Nothing but a slab of beef. It was very good, but it always frustrates me when no sides are included. Want sides? Thatâll cost you a minimum $8 for each. They offer a complementary special dessert for birthdays. A lovely touch. Overall a great place, but the menu needs some tweaking.
Aspens was a wonderful dining experience and the staff was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will go back.
Michael was our server and he was excellent, we have had him as a server in the past and it was very nice. The food and adult beverages were excellent! Aspen's is out special dinner place because we can always expect an excellent experience! My wife has celiac disease and the menu has Gluten Free items marked. She has never had an issue at Aspen's Signature Steaks.
The food was very good, calamari appetizer, shrimp dinner, prime rib, burger. All sides are a La carte. The wine list didn't offer a reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon with least costly at about $65/bottle. The house wine was good however at $10/glass. Dinner for 3 at $221 w/ 20% tip for me is too pricey considering the food ordered.
Michael made sure our evening was just perfect and our good was delicious!!! My end cut prime rib was beautiful!!!
Great food and our waiter, Matt, was fabulous! Ask for him!
