My family and I (a party of 15) dined in this past weekend and the entire experience was WONDERFUL!! The food was great! The owner and staff made sure we were well taken care of. We really enjoyed and we will definitely be back.

If you are looking for Oxtails or Jerk Chicken go see James @ Tropical Flava! When I say I've been coming here for over 5years and the taste of the food has not changed. All I can say is AWESOME!!!
Do not eat here! I have eaten here plenty of times prior to them changing location and the establishment was excellent! Unfortunately, that is no more. I came here to order oxtails, but instead received neckbones. I know what an oxtail bone looks like and apparently someone has cut them to try to mimic the look of an oxtail. The meat is even the consistency of a neckbone (shreddy and tough). I will NEVER come here again! It is bad business and everyone can’t eat pork due to religious and health reasons. Prices too high for the customer service you receive. And the plates are always given to you messy where some kinda of juice is always inside the bag. And the oxtails aren't cooked properly. Some be tender others tough as hell. And they took too damn long to fix a plate on call in orders.
I would first like to say that being from Los Angeles traveling to Macon I was able to visit tropical Flava for dinner and it was “THE BEST” Jamaican food I have had. James was amazing and made us feel very welcome making sure we only had the best of everything. Service was impeccable and words cannot describe how good the food taste..I will never come back to Macon without dropping in for dinner.. thank you James?
Tropical Flava is an amazing Caribbean gem nestled in Macon with outstanding customer service that matches the delicious food and laid back atmosphere. James, the owner is especially warm and welcoming as is his staff, Jackie was amazing!I ordered the jerk ribs with peas and rice, steamed veggies and plantains...each bite was mouthwatering and is full of flavor! I sampled the other fare ordered by my family members and each dish was delicious! Jerk chicken, oxtails, and the garlic shrimp, all magnificent.Please go try this place out, it is a must if you are in the Macon area or even if you want to get out of the Metro Atl area for a bit, Trooical Flava is definitely worth it!(Great prices as well)!!
People had told me in the past of how good the food is at Tropical Flava and I can't believe that it took me all this time to finally experience it for myself. The presentation, the smell and the taste of the food was top notch. The word "good", when describing the oxtails, is an understatement and I'm sure all of the the menu items fall into that category too. Everything was flavored through and through. The employees were really nice and courteous as well. This is definitely my new, favorite restaurant.
Very good food and great customer service. Coming from a Jamaican family , having eaten lots of Jamaican food and visiting lots of Jamaican restaurants I was very pleased with Tropical Flava. Sometimes in Jamaican restaurants it's hard to find good customer service, but everyone here was very attentive and welcoming. I had the curry goat and my husband had stew chicken. They were both delicious and we both had enough to take home.
