It's a Japanese restaurant with Korean roots in middle Georgia... It's not Atlanta, but it's probably the best here. I prefer it over the other Japanese hibachi style eateries in the area! We got sushi which doesn't smell fishy (good sign of freshness retention). We ate outside because of our 4-legged family member who has separation issues, lol. The weather definitely aided in this positive review! If you ever get a chance, definitely try the hamachi-kama (cheeky yellowtail) and the kimchee fried rice! Pairs well with a cold Sapporo!
I will start off with saying this was my wife and I first time here. First impressions mean a lot. I will say once we got our food, it was amazing. The hibachi has to be in my top 3 of all time and we do it a lot. I had soup and salad. It was good. Then I ordered the cherry blossom special. Filet mignon, shrimp, and scallops. I got doubled fried rice and noodles. I can complain about the food. It was great. The issue we had was when we got there, we got a wait time of 45 minutes to sit in front of a cook. We decided to stay being it was our first time. 45 minutes turned into an hour and a half. Finally we were seated. Once the chef finally came to our table after waiting 20 more minutes, he started cooking but left 2 times in between cooking rice and vegetables. That was weird. After we ate, we got the check. They added the 15% gratuity automatically to my bill and we didn't have 6 in my party. So I didn't like that at all. I usually tip very well. Above and beyond 15% but they didn't get any extra out of me. We were there over 3 hours, between waiting/cooking/eating. Entirely too long when we would have only spent 1.5hrs there tops. IF we go back, we will make reservations.
Came for dinner with family. Teriyaki chicken and white rice and veggies. Family member has food allergies. They tried but just aren’t very careful with the allergy issues. Grill has food residue and leftover specs we had to ask to be removed just before he mixed it with ours. Teriyaki isn’t teriyaki. Odd sauce. Veggies were done well. Salad and soup were fine.
Overall a really good experience. The fried sushi roll I loved. The noodles were my least favorite as I think they were covered in a ginger sauce. Of course I had to take the main entree home as the sushi, soup, and salad was more than enough.
The food here was average to below average.our carrots was not cooked and after letting them cook the carrots more, they returned them extremely hot but still not fully cooked. My teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki taste. I am glad I asked for extra teriyaki sauce to give the chicken some taste. I will give this restaurant a “C”
Very good place to eat. Food is great and the staff is very friendly. They do try to accommodate everyone on wait times. Weekends are usually very busy, so be prepared to wait a bit on Friday or Saturday.
This showed up on our table just as we was finishing our meal. So, this was not cool. However, meal was good.
Not good at all. Ordered calamari and it was mainly onions and bell peppers. Took forever to get our food and our drinks refilled when they weren’t busy. They had a nasty sauce over the meat. Took them 20 minutes to get us the check. Awful service and our waitress was very rude.
No real menu! Facebook only with pictures. Horrible process. Sashimi was good. Waitress didn’t know how many pieces were on plate a b c d. Seriously a total joke. Good luck but service like this and you won’t be around.
Went last night, it was a complete disaster. Food was cold, my mamas food was wrong, the shrimp tasted so fishy you couldn't hardly eat it. We waited over 2 hours for our food and as much as you pay for it you would expect it to be at least hot. It wasn't the servers fault, but like I said 100 dollars for food I would expect it to be good.
