Food was very good. Order was ready when I arrived and staff was friendly. Only complaint is side salad was way too small to enjoy, really about 3 bites & you're done!
Overflowing garbage areas inside the restaurant, one person running around handling to go and ringing up customers, partying in the kitchen, open boxes behind the counter, etc, etc, etc. Probably won't go back. They never find quality employees in Macon. No wonder most restaurants in Macon have sub par service and cleanliness. Lazy employee base.
My brother is visiting from Hawaii and he wanted bbq. On our way to Statesboro Georgia we stopped by the location in Macon. This was the worse meal I’ve ever had. BBQ smoked chopped chicken was actually something that looked like boiled chicken chunks in a sweet sauce no bbq smoke flavor. Mac n cheese was horrible tasted like boxed. Smoked wings were over fried no smoke flavor. This was a waste of time and money. We both trashed our meals.
We ordered a big dad with toasted bread on the side, the loaded Buffalo fries fried plus 2 other plates. While we got the 2 other plates had to wait for the big dad and loaded fries. While watching and waiting another table got their loaded fries and another plate. Got up and asked about our other plates and got a bit of attitude from one of the employees that was on break when we ordered our food . Other than that the food was good
Shane’s has really step up and fixed the past problems! I ate there today as I do every week and the restaurant is spotless and my burger and sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection. The burger was juicy and the fries where beautiful!
Ok you asked...ordered the chicken sandwich was dry and not flavored but they put tons of it on the sandwich- so thats a plus and negative. The sides that came with meals the cups were half way full which is disappointing since the cups are tiny- going to need that cup full enough to close properly. Ordered a rib plate w/ bbq 2 sides and chicken sandwich with one side and drink total was 34-36 dollars walked out with one bag...so not a whole lot of food. Gave 3 stars because what little food was given with our take out order was ok. The customer service was ok as well not over the top as we were interrupting the cashier painting her nails but the lady from the back that brought out food was helpful got our sauces and sent us on a way with her beautiful smile. She is why you got 3 stars as well.
Shane's is supposed to toast their bread. Everytime I come to this location they always give me plain white bread lol who wants a pork sandwich with plain bread...who wants plain bread in general...toast it like it's supposed to be lol other than that it's just as good as any other locationMy responseThe toast should be default not to be asked for. Shane's always toast the bread as the default option you are the only location that I have to ask.
Good food and excellent service.The portions are very generous so you can share them. The ribs are a good choice.
It was ok. I had ribs, baked beans, cole slaw, peach cobbler, but my toast was a slice of bread. I went to counter and ordered toast. Staff made sure my husband and I were pleased w our food. Our bellies are full and Customer Service was on point.
I haven’t eaten Shane Rib Shack since they left VinevilIe Avenue. I use to eat there all the time. Never had a problem with the food. So today I had a craving for some ribs and decided to stop by there Bass Avenue location. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered the two meat meal with two sides. I ordered double ribs, Mac and cheese and French fries. The ribs had a lot of fat on them and that was very disappointing. I don’t know what kind of sauce they put on them but it tasted bitter. The French fries was cold and the macaroni and cheese had no taste whats so ever. I don’t know if the recipe has changed but the one that was on Vineville Avenue food tasted soooo much better. I will not recommend this place.
