Great buffet style home-cooked food. Friendly staff and plenty of different foods to choose. You will not leave hungry or disappointed!
Typical cafeteria. It is an older restaurant that has not been upgraded. But it's still clean and comfortable.I visited Macon and ate there last year and the food was delicious. This year the quality does not seem to be quite as good.I would not recommend that you go there close to closing time.They have servers to meet your needs if you have a problem or to refill your coffee or tea. They are absolutely wonderful and very attentive. Please leave them a tip. They're trying to feed their families too.
I ordered Mac n cheese,turnips and cornbread. The food was fine. The cornbread was dry and kinda hard.
One star is only for our server, she was great! Other than that, I wouldn't leave any!First time eating here and was extremely disappointed. Roast was under cooked (leathery & tough) and the sweet tea was terrible. About 15 mins after eating here both my husband and myself are sick.Food Score posted was 87.Please tell your staff to make sure the food is properly cooked before you seriously hurt someone!
Went to S&S on Riverside...Macon. Asked for flounder fish. It had to be cooked. I looked inside the piece of fish was so very small. I let the staff know how disappointed I was with the very small piece of fish. They said it came small. Look ..I go there at least twice per week. The to go orders are not what it use to be. Sorry they are here.
Ate here while visiting family last week. Wasn't a crowd so we got in and out pretty fast. Food was good , but not large servings. Our server Tammy was pleasant and very helpful.
Happy to have discovered this gem while traveling through Macon. Service was great and food was well prepared and served.
Still one of the great places families eat on Sunday. Reminder to ask about menu daily specials. One meat, two veggies etc. It can get a little expensive if your eye's are overjoyed by seeing all the good food and end up on your tray!
Good as usual. I had chicken fried steak, corn, cornbread dressing, tossed salad and sweet tea. Had enough to take leftovers home for another meal.
The staff in the take out department was so rude and Disrespectful all but the elderly black lady. As for the rest of them they have no manners . I asked if they had cranberry sauce she replied in a rude voice if you don't see it then we don't have it . Some of these people who work in there need to check their selves especially working in customer service with the public. I will not be coming back there and treated with such rudeness. I gave you a 1 star only because 0 wasn't an option. Please also remind your staff the color of a person's skin is no reason to be rude . If you treat others with kindness and respect then you will be treated the same
