Absolutely love the Rookery. The burgers are fantastic (add some of their pimento cheese!) and that Christmas tree cheesecake is straight sinful!!! Excellent beer selection and some awesome unique burger combinations.
Awesome time and great food! Bartender was a bit trashed which was fun and not fun at the same time. Definitely will go back!
Came in for dinner and had a great server. The food was average- recommendations would be the goat cheese/fried green tomato burger and the fish and chips. The strawberry dessert was also good.
We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon after struggling to find parking. They do have a limited amount of seating outside. I would recommend sitting inside as there are a lot of unpleasant external smells. The atmosphere is super relaxed with patron gravity on EVERY surface space. Our server was quick and pleasant. We ordered a Classic City Cheeseburger, and a small Caesar Salad. It was delivered to our table very quickly and was done as expected.
I think that was the best milkshake I have ever had in my life. Restaurant was extremely busy but we waited. First time there and the food was good and fast. Service was good too. Would go back if I am ever that way again.
After many years of hearing about The Rookery I finally made it in. I wish I had not waited so long the food and service was great!!I had the Rookery Burger minus the bun (I’m eating low carb now). The meat was so good and fresh you could seriously taste the freshness to it!My friend and I also tried out the fried pickle Spears and they where delicious. They also were not greasy like at most places.Great atmosphere, I loved that over the years people have signed their names on the walls.I will definitely be going back!!
Amazing atmosphere! Everyone here is beyond friendly. We had an amazing waitress Hannah and she was extremely exceptional.The menu is very robust and unique to Macon Ga. I highly recommend any burger or the OutKast Stank.
It was pretty good I ordered the Outkast Stankonia! This a fried chicken breast covered with cheese, shoulder bacon, collard greens, and drenched in Mrs Griffin's hot BBQ sauce! Absolutely delicious! I would recommend! I have not tried anything else! Saturday night is when I went and remember it's busy! Appears to be a go to place for visitors!?
Came here with my mom for a late lunch. She got the French Dip with sweet potato fries, I got the Big “O” Burger and fries and they were fantastic. We also shared several starters, fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms and the collards and artichoke dip. Then we shared warm chocolate pecan pie with ice cream on top. Everything was so good. Our server was so sweet and friendly. Can’t wait to come back again the next time we are in Macon. We both have enough for lunch tomorrow that we are bringing home after ordering so much, lol.
