This my first time trying this place, I had a taste for some authentic nachos, so I took a chance on this place. First let me say I wanted to like the food, but it is soooo bland. I ordered supreme nachos with white cheese and grilled chicken enchiladas, the cheese sauce was watered down, with zero flavor and the cheese was almost non-existent, I asked for light jalapeno, and got none, maybe the jalapenos would have helped the bland flavor, there was no cilantro, onions no type of taco type seasoning, I am just amazed. I am soooo disappointed, my meal is ruined and I can honestly say, it is going to the trash, money wasted, lesson learned. Never again. I gave two stars because the young lady that took my order was nice.Update: I called and ask them what was their refund policy,I returned the food and they gave me a full refund.
I haven't been here in years - - like 20 - - and it is still the same as I remembered it. Same dude greeting you at the door, same salsa I remember which is spicier than most, and the Mexican rice brought back all kinds of memories. We ordered the guacamole and it is very good. Not chunky like most places but whipped with sour cream, and it is to die for.For lunch I got my old standby, 2 tacos with rice & beans. I got the hard shell with chicken and it was delicious. He had the burrito with rice & beans. Also good. These Mexican rice is unlike any I've had anywhere, it's stewed with tomatoes so it's not dry rice like you get other places but moist and flavorful. They've been here 46 years and I don't see them slowing down. It was obvious most of the people were regulars, as they were known by name or by the dish they always order. I'm glad I thought to come back here, and I'll see them again soon.
I have eaten here since I was a kid I enjoy it every time I go.

I don’t know if they still serve sopipillas as they used to, all fluffy goodness. But if they doI remember them from over thirty years ago and how much I loved them and whenever I run into flat fried sopapillas I’m always disappointed
A real gem of Macon. You must visit. Delicious mexican food, great service, family friendly place. Try the tostadas.

Food was wonderful! Service was terrible. Had to find the waitress to get refills on both drinks and salsa.
Nice and cozy little spot. Has an 80's atmospheric feel. The food was not bad. I don't think I ordered anything that screamed excitement. I will return however.
This Mexican restaurant is awesome. The portions are so large neither of us could finish our plates.I had the house special, no peppers, add mushrooms. Friendly staff who met all our needs.5/5 will definitely come back.
