Mikatas used to be so great. Now it’s very dirty. When you walk in your feet stick to the carpet and it smells of urine. The food is subpar. I had chicken that wasn’t trimmed. When Bob was the bartender, the drinks were 10/10. Now, you can’t taste any alcohol. Our waitress and cook were so sweet, but that only goes so far when it feels disgusting inside.
We went on a Saturday night arrived at 5:30 found out we should have made reservations. Told us did not know how long the wait would be they take reservations first and work the walk ins in as they can. We ended up waiting 2 hours to be seated. It seemed they only had 1 hibachi cook to start with a couple more came in later. There was only 1 waitress trying to wait on all the restaurant .They were severely understaffed but in the end we had a great cook who had us all laughing. Also prepared an excellent meal for us we're confused why they didn't serve the orange sherbet at the end of the meal . They did add a 18 percent gratuity to our party of 5 . All in all we had a great time with our family it was our 40th wedding anniversary we do only ho on anniversary or birthdays.
We went in as a group of twleve and elected to sit at a non-hibachi table because the wait was half as long and we were hungry. The food quality was extremely inconsistent, and we had to ask for the dessert that was advertised to come with the meal. The chicken was extremely dry, the steak was completely unseasoned (at least in the combo - steak/chicken and steak/shrimp) but those who just ordered steak were served a very well-seasoned piece of beef. The waitress was nice and relatively attentive, but for nearly $30 a plate, the food quality was mediocre, at best. The sushi roll (volcano roll) came out as a plate covered in hot sauce with an unidentifiable lump in the middle. From someone who has eaten at Japanese steakhouses all over the country, this one left PLENTY to be desired.
I'd give it less if I could. Their ginger side is terrible, the chicken was so over cooked and dry and the steak was so under seasoned it almost tasted spoiled. Then the waitress tried to shoo us out before the ice cream even though we had 3 kids with us. In all fairness, we did not do the hibachi table we just did the dining table for our party if 9 adults and 3 kids.
Was very expensive wasn't impressed me and the wife shared a meal. They charged us 2.00 for rice and we didn't want rice we wanted noodles. Server said the dish we ordered came with both and on the bill was a up charge. Don't like restaurants that penny pinch they customersWithout telling them.
The best Japanese food in a 100 mile radius!! The salad is amazing and worth the drive and possible wait alone. Add in the other delicious options and I am recommending it every time!! Hibachi and sushi are above par!!
Food is decent but way over priced!!The guy working the front desk is extremely unorganized, horrible service- he has no clue what he's doing . Wait times are insane due to him not being able to keep up with who came first . The waiter service sucks- the fact they get tips regardless they do not do their jobs. I WOUKD NOT RECOMMEND NOR RETURN
We were celebrating our son's 14th birthday and had a great time. Omar was the bartender making great drinks and having an awesome attitude! Renee was our server and she did a outstanding job. They both need a raise! Our chef also did a phenomenal job!
The food that we had was delicious.
We had John as our cook, he was excellent as always. Great food, service and fun!
