I wanted to remain neutral & wish I could have provided you with 2.5 stars but unfortunately, decided on 2 stars. Ma Dukes, please use whatever is written on this platform to help grow your business. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. How are you to resolve existing issues if no one ever brings them to the forefront. Everything is not for everyone & if someone has a bad experience, for whatever reason, they have a right to express that. You have to remember, not only is free speech a right, these people actually paid you for the product that they are actually critiquing.Ma Dukes, I wish you well with your future endeavors & really hope to see you grow your business in the future. While I have never eaten at your establishment, I do know that people often research this platform when looking for new places to eat, me being one of those people. Please humbly accept the positive & negative to help make your business a successful one going forward. As an owner, always remain humble & kind & realize that there are a thousand different scenarios that can cause an establishment to not be as good as they usually are the other 6 days of the week. Hey, it happens simply b/c no one or nothing is perfect but when it does happen, you just have to own it & try to make it right. You shouldn't get mad at someone for not liking a product that failed to meet their specifications, especially when they spent their hard earned money for that product. There are a lot of places to eat & the attitude of personnel/owners greatly contribute to how people remember you & your place of business.
Opens at 11. Got there at 11:10 and they were not opened. This is the 2nd time I tried to eat there. The first time I called to get menu and was told they were running behind and would open at 1. On the day I finally got in the door they only had 3 meats, 2 veggies and rice ready. I chose the turkey wing with lima beans and sweet potatoes. The food was delicious but not worth what we paid for it. We could have gone to Ole Times for the same price and had a much bigger selection. Must say we got service with a smile. Maybe someday we will return.
Purchased pork chops (1 fried 1 grilled) and a turkey wing plate. The food was dry...like real dry as if it was old. The tea was old too as if it was made a couple days before...maybe it was just a slow day or I ordered the wrong things but it's a no for me. Gave 2 star for the mac and cheese which had just come out of the oven and 1 star to give them benefit of the doubt.
First time visiting. Food not seasoned & Pork Chops were dry & tough. Too pricey for what you are getting. Food is ok if you are just looking for something to eat. Just thought I would try the spot out since someone had told me about it.
Second time trying this place. First time all the food was salty just like the other reviews said.I believe the food is canned. This time The chicken tasted old like it had been sitting all day. the greens tasted like they been sitting too. Should have went with my first mind and walked out. Won't be back
Delicious food! GREAT customer service. One plate is portioned enough for two people. Will definitely come back again. Ms Cynthia made the restaurant feel like home
I order two vegetable and she put them in a bowls so i ask for an empty plate and she told no because her plates cost too much money . I wanted my food spreaded out . I did take out .
Can you say the Best Smothered Turkey Wings!!!! I have tried the other food on the menu but that is my favorite. The owner went to the same school I went to Northeast HS (Raiders ) I enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Owner was sweet. Food was great. There was a McDonalds in front of her restaurant. Those people did not know what they were missing. Two thumbs up on food.
