The food was on point all around!

Wonderful food and service. Very hot today, I was told the AC is out.

After a visit to The Allman Brothers Band Museum “The Big House,” it was good form to call into one restaurants the band called into often. It was a wonderful visit. The food was fabulous & hand a wonderful vibe about it. It was great what I would call Southern Soul Food. You can feel & can’t miss the music history & see all the great memorabilia.A really cool mural on the wall as well outside. We were lucky to be the last customers of the day & got a great picture to share here.

Really good, down-home, southern food... they manage the seating very well for small establishment; very efficient; eclectic vibe with Allman Brothers memorabilia on the walls. ? biscuits and cornbread kind of flavorless and corn bread doesn't crumble at all but overall really good food ?

We decided to visit Macon and enjoy some of its local flare. We picked this restaurant, mostly at random. It was a very good choice. The food was really good, and just a great variation of stuff that you see, and unique items I’ve never run into. I got a biscuit, topped with white gravy, red eye gravy, collard greens and chicken. I wasn’t sure if all of these things would work together, but they absolutely did. I can’t wait to go there again to experience the rest of their menu. Also our waitress was just amazing. She spent a good bit of time telling us about the history of the restaurant, and also some of the nearby history, just a stellar experience really.TL;DRgo here! You won’t be sorry.

Midnight rider chicken biscuit was very good, tasty with lots of flavor. Chicken and waffle was flavorful, juicy, and good seasonings. The waffle was good, not anything great but good. The steak was disappointing super thin almost paper thin over cooked and didn't taste great. Eggs were spot on and biscuits were great.Service was really good. Very friendly server walked us through the history of the place and the menu.

This is an institution and is a well known place on the Macon landscape. Founded in 1959 by Inez Hill and Louise Hudson, H&H Restaurant has been a regular hangout for the locals and some rather famous musicians such as the Allman brothers, as this place is within walking distance of Capricorn Studios.Don't let the outside of the building facing the street fool you. It is rather non-descript. Parking on the side.Food is excellent. Very friendly service and a must stop and see place if you are touring Macon.

I was skeptical at first but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive. Love the decor and mural they have. I was glad to find that this place has a rich history in the civil rights movement and Mama Louise & The Allman Brothers. I will be back. Thanks H&H for a great experience ?

We went today and I was SO DISAPPOINTED! The Mac and cheese was dried and lukewarm. You tell by the taste that there was no seasoning, Aad this being a soul food restaurant. The soul rolls were reheated and old. The banana pudding was sour. The bananas had gone bad.So. If you are looking for a place to eat in Macon....SKIP IT!!!

Absolutely delicious food, the restaurant is tiny but eclectic with tons of history. Service was good and the place was packed.
