We chose Circa because we’ve always had a pleasant dinning experience, along with great food and service. Today, we were not as pleased- For the price point the service was under par, the waiter looked tired & unshaven, the food was bland and the salt & pepper shakers were clogged! My steak was over-cooked and the waiter never returned to our table to check if it was cooked as I ordered. The grand finale…. Drumrolllllll!!!! We ordered desert…. while we were enjoying our deserts and celebrating my friends 50th birthday (the waiter added a candle) the hostess asked us could we wrap things up because another party was waiting for the table. We had 6pm reservations, it was about 740ish.. the birthday girl ate her dessert I packed mine to go..We hadn’t been there any longer than the table besides us or behind us and neither of those parties were asked to wrap up their dinner and there was an empty table in the patio as well…I could think of a variety of reasons why we were the only ones asked to leave, but I’ll just take my money & appetite elsewhere next time!!!

So here's a case study in restaurantology. If you take reservations and expect guests to be out after a certain period of time has passed, YOU NEED TO SAY SO UPFRONT...what should NEVER happen is asking a patron of your restaurant who had a reservation to move it along because another patron has a reservation and is peering through the window because they want to be seated at that exact booth. Mind you there was a completely unoccupied table in the outdoor seating area. What kind of jackassery is this?!! This is the kind of bull ? that Brasserie Circa on Forsyth Road pulled tonight as my friend and I had a celebratory birthday meal. They clearly don't realize that at 50, we have zero Fs to give -- zero, ya dig? #epicfail

One of our favorite places to eat and have drinks

Not impressed at all. I'm not above paying good money for good food but the prices did not match the quality of the food. Fish served with the skin on should be be served skin side up. It wasn't and was smothered in sauce that left the skin chewy and inedible. Plus, the portion size was underwhelming when compared to the price. Mashed potatoes very bland and the broccolini was the same. Just seems like the small but yet important details that would be expected from a place like this were over looked. Very disappointed and honestly don't see a reason to come back.-EDIT-After going through and reading other reviews, the tone seems to be the same. Over priced and bland food being portrayed as something it is not. I was also wondering why there is zero response from owner or managers in regards to these reviews.

We had a wonderful lunch. Servers were VERY nice and helpful. All dishes delicious!

Great food and EXCELLENT service and atmosphere.

Great service by Colquitt (hope that’s spelled correctly) we’ve been in Macon for a little over two years and have been wanting to try this place out. It was worth the money. It has a nice ambience for date night and everyone seemed friendly.

Really wanted to like this place but food was lack luster hence 3 star rating. I had the special which was fish Branzino with a white wine sauce and onions. I really thought they could've done a better job than just piling a bunch of onions on top of fish. Mashed potatoes were good but somewhat watery not thick or creamy. Gf had the Filet which was cooked good but was not a fan of the butter which was very garlicky and the Bacon Mac & Cheese was basic. Interior is nice but feels a bit crowded and made for very loud environment. Service was ok but they were super busy and waiter did his best. Creme Bru Le cheese cake was very good! So overall probably will not go again as food was lack luster for the price.

The food was just ok overall. Sushi was the best thing we tried but the rest was not that great.

Great food but they don't answer emails. Our waiter also asked us to leave. He said that he needed our table but there were 10 empty tables in the restaurant.
