I had not been to Applebee’s in a few years after they removed something I really liked from the menu. When I was scrolling through the list of places that were offering Veteran’s day meals I saw Applebee’s was offering a free meal and gift card to use on a future visit. I went later in the afternoon and the kid working the hostess stand tried to seat me in the bar at a high top. I told him I could not comfortably sit at a high top. For some reason, he found that irritating and told me he could seat me at a regular table but I would have to wait longer for a server. When he said I would have to wait, he was not kidding. After I was seated a couple was seated across the aisle next to me, they were not given any attitude for wanting a table by the kid at the door. Not long after they arrived a server came out and took their drink order, but did not acknowledge I was there. Including myself, there were 3 tables occupied but the server was only attending to the other 2. About 20 minutes after I was seated a server came to my table reeking of cigarette smoke. She told me she had just gotten to work and was surprised someone was already seated in her section. Why would you seat someone in a section that does not have a server when there was a server for the tables next to it? While I sat there I watched as other servers gave the $5 gift cards out but after I left I realized I was not given one. Guess that is a sign that I do not need to return.I typed this review in November and forgot to post it.

Came in a few nights ago and stood at the door for about 10 minutes waiting on someone to notice us and seat us. They were not busy… maybe 3-4 tables occupied. Food was okay at best. Service was lacking, even having the restaurant mostly empty I barely saw anyone and we waited on refills. Would not go back.
I came in on a bad day. Saturday about noonish and they didn’t have enough help. Food wasn’t fresh. However, service was extremely nice (Mikel was wonderful!)People, don’t get a job if you’re never gonna come to work…

Food and drinks are always good no complaints there....My issue is the service in the past 3 times I've been ...and for some odd reason I'm hoping it's gunna be better than the last visits but that has yet to have happen...and tonight was prob the worst....and saying that because as the manager on duty and our sever brought our food 3 mins after we got our apps...the plates it's self we're scorching hot ? and neither the manager or server warned us about the plates as my 3 yr old was inches from grabbing his plate to eat..
I go out of my way to eat here. There are two applebees 15 minutes from my house.This one is 45 min. Great service and food.
The server could have been friendlier. My boyfriend and I went in for the $5.99 burger special. I enjoyed it and the brownie with ice cream for dessert is a steal for $1.49!
Very nice experience! Just one waitress for whole restaurant at time . But she did an awesome job! On 1/4/22
Nothing here to write home about. Cramped seating. Wanted to get us more room by moving to a booth in a section where no one was sitting but was told only open table for our party of five was a high top down in the bar area even though half restaurant tables were open and would have been a more pleasant experience. I had to sit out on the walking aisle, people constantly passing by and over me and our table was crowded. Food ok. Appetizer combo platter wasn't worth the money, nor were the cheese bites. Steak was so-so. Old rule applies, if you need steak sauce then steak didn't have enough flavor to stand alone. Probably won't return. We appreciated the waitress's service.
