TOO SALTY! I took 2 bites of the steak and gravy and I'm sure my blood pressure shot up! The macaroni and cheese was good and the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes but still not bad. I couldn't finish the steak and gravy due to the saltiness. The peach cobbler was runny so I threw it in the trash as well. Basically I paid $12 for 2 sides.... I wouldn't recommend for lunch. Maybe breakfast is better.
Best biscuits and breakfast in Atlanta. At any location. Went here as a high school student and was only second time back in over 30 years and it's the same today as it was then! If it were closer it would be my breakfast hangout!
These buttermilk pancakes are amazing!! Soft, fluffy and warm. My online order was 100% correct and ready to go upon walk-in. Everything was cooked to preference chosen on website. Will keep coming back.
This is hands down one of the best in places Atlanta to get a proper southern breakfast. Especially a biscuit. Every protein you could wish for. And if you want to go big add eggs, cheese and even gravy to your biscuit. It's sloppy and phenomenal. They make a good country style lunch as well. For what they are (a hole in the wall) you will be happy you stopped at Mamie's. And when have your first bite you'll probably say...wow. I know I did.
The food here brings back good memories of my mom cooking ? breakfast in the 70's. It had the old cast iron greesy taste. I had the cheese grits with eggs,smoke sausages and bacon.?
I stopped by because the line is usually super long early in the morning and hangs out into the street so I assumed that the food would be great. It is not? I tried it 2xs and both times the food was bland and had no flavor or seasoning. I think because they are right off the highway and are typically the only thing open that early is why they are always packed because it is not the food. The people are nice however and did have good customer service. ??♀️
Always delicious! But just a heads up if you decide to try it…the line is ALWAYS long! So depending on the day you could spend anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes in line.
Food was cold and mediocre at best I enjoyed my mash potatoes
First time trying and was not impressed ?. The salmon patties had NO seasoning just fried ball. My pancakes was a level above burnt. Had to cook the sausage patty more when I got home. The peach cobbler was bland..
Customer service could be better. But the food was GREAT.
