After searching forever I finally decided to try this place out with all the mixed reviews. The oxtails were good , the rice and peas were just okay. Wouldn’t order that again. The cabbage was nasty, definitely won’t get that again. The servers were not friendly at all. But the cashier was nice and pleasant. | I would go back for sure , just next time double white rice. I went for the oxtails and they did not disappoint. Oh yeah the price was very fair.
This restaurant been in this community for over a few years now and for it tonight proper air conditioning for when the customers come in and have to wait and not even sitting area it doesn't matter there should always be a quality of service. The salmon can be cooked or clean a lot better. They definitely could do a better job when it comes to the proportions of their food and make sure that everything is fresh such as the rice towards the end of the day. But overall the food can be good I just believe the cleanliness of it is not to the part of my quality.
Gummy rice, extra crispy cabbage, and flies. I went a few months back and the food was just like my last sentence.I thought maybe it was just a down day for them, but no. They now serve their food like this daily. I went today with my cousins from out of town (their 1st time) and the food was gross. They didnt like it either. It didn't used to taste like this. Fireside used to be my main place for good Caribbean cuisine. I won't be going back.
I visited this location on 6/29 with my niece and son Cameron it was such a warm welcome from Melissa and June immediately Melissa realized my son had autism and we began to share stories about our kids. She made me feel comfortable and she understood challenges.. Will definitely be back food was AMAZING
First and last time. The food was ok and would have given it a second try if it wasn’t for the attitude I was given when I asked for a side of cabbage. It was as if I had the audacity to ask. I’m good. I just will not go back. But I will say the cashier was nice.
This is place has some of the most authentic amazing Jamaican food. The fact there is always a line proves how good they are . However there are lines they move very quickly and they also give large portions , to me you can eat off of for at least 2 days. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
I've been to Fireside in the past, but today was different. As always, they provide excellent customer service and great food, but I also learned that they honor public servants, including teachers, for their service. That was refreshing to learn. Not only was the teacher in front of me elated that she was recognized and rewarded, I too ended up being a recipient of their generosity because of my service as well. What a way to serve the community. Thanks Fireside!!The two young ladies who served us were kind, and courteous which will ensure my return.
Me and my friends drove two hours to eat here on a weekday for lunch. First and last time for me. Women are rude to women and nice to men. The older lady obviously has a hearing and anger issues. We ordered a small and medium she made two medium and a small. Then when it was time for us to pay she dumped food off of the plate back into the pan on steam table instead of charging us for the meal. I don’t recommend this place. You definitely get what you’re paying for (garbage).
Believe what everyone is saying about the service. I can't even speak on the food because the lack of service had me out the door before I could order anything. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years so I understand how it can be. I don't expect above and beyond, just be decent... say hello... acknowledge me.
The Workers Here Are Work Very Slow And They don’t Even Have Any consider that people have to go place the cashier could ring up 10 people in 5 minutes but they don’t even move with any kind of effort it could all be so simple
