Great dinner, great server, and just a fun venue. We in DT Lawrenceville for the Aroura theater.
Uncle Jack's may be the most fun restaurant in the heart of Gwinnett County. The food is original and so, so good! Service is great! The atmosphere is great as well.
My food was delicious! I got the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. I added a side of mushrooms. We got a ton of those. My husband got the fried cod and french fries. He enjoyed that but he said he expected more food for his money. He ordered a side of shrimp for $12. He only get three and they were burnt. However, the service was great! Our table attendant was Dillon. He kept us with cool water which was welcomed because we sat outside. Even with the ceiling fans, it was very very hot. I wish they had some tables inside, where your feet could touch the floor. I have a bad back and can't sit with my feet hanging. That's why we had to sit outside in the heat. One last thing...that chocolate brownie sundae dessert was FABULOUS and I don't even like chocolate.
This is the third time I've eaten here, and I'm not sure what happened but I was disappointed. The food was very slow to come out. Previously, I felt that the shrimp and grits was the best I've ever had, but this time it just was fair. Someone in our group had the fish and chips and it was sad. The chips were way too salty and the actual fish was bland and the beer batter was too hard. I would say that their quality is hit or miss. I will have to re-think if I try them again for a fourth time.
Took our niece to Jackâs to celebrate her birthday. Everything was delicious and they even brought her out a special dessert.
The food is just mediocre compared to the price. Jack's meathouse in Duluth is so much better.
I would not recommend attending for brunch. The selection was not great, the food was dry, and took an exceptionally long period of time to come out. I would recommend for dinner, but brunch was a big let down.
The food is great! The service is great. But the restaurant is really warm. The doors to the outside patio are always open. When itâs 90 degrees outside, itâs almost 90 degrees inside. We were sweating. I will definitely go back but not until it cools off outside.
I will never visit this place again - service was VERY slow and food delivered late - as in 1 hour late!!!!! The food was also old looking and appeared to be leftovers that they put in a microwave.
Loved the ambiance and staff was great. Was disappointed in what I ordered, the fish and chips Friday special. Fish had to much batter and over cooked, the French fries were drowned in some sort of signature seasoning. What happened to just French fries. Hubby order the fries honey chicken and was pleased but didnât get why the side of gravy as the way it is served in a basket, you canât pour the gravy over the chicken, plus the chicken was fine as it is without a gravy.
