When it's attached to a gas station, you already know the food is going to be good! Taste 8 was highly recommended by friends from St. Louis. Ordering was convenient. You can do this online on their website. They will call you to let you know when the food is ready for pick up.Currently, the location is for pick-up only. You order at the door space they converted to a window. Everyone here is sweet and friendly. Food came in huge portions and piping hot! Ask for gravy on the side for your fried rice. Would definitely come back again. :)
Based on reviews we tried Taste 8. The fried rice is delicious and the braised wings were a surprise hit. We weren't crazy about the Egg Foo Young it was a little to salty. The Wonton soup is very good - taste like China town NYC. Overall we have enjoyed the food here.
Chinese food was in point. Just didn’t like that there were toddlers and young children walking and playing all around were the food was being prepared!!! But it was great food!!! Loved the combination rice and the egg rolls and magnolia beef!!!
This place is great ! i bought the sweet and sour chicken & vegetable fried rice. The food came out in a timely manner and was REALLY fresh, will definitely come back.
Just ordered for the first time . I will not order again. Shrimp egg foo young 1 patty with no shrimp and 2nd patty with 2 pieces of shrimp. Order 1 shrimp egg roll and got 1 shrimp in it. I also ordered for my husband orange chicken and he said it was hard and bad burnt taste to it.Very disappointed had much better.
This location is so take out or delivery ONLY. This selection is wide and pretty typical. I had Kung Pao Shrimp which was generously portioned, a little on the pricy side. I ordered it extra spicy and it actually was pretty spicy, flavorful and Chico full of veg. I find for some reason that the Lawrenceville area doesn’t have much in the way of really good Asian restaurants for whatever reason. The food was good enough for me to come back, but wasn’t what I’d call amazing
My wife is from Stl and we have been looking for rice similar to where she is from. After years of trying rice this is the closest its ever been. From menu selections and drinks. Definitely will be back.
I did not believe it was so when a relative told me about this place. Today I tried it and I felt like I was back home in St. Louis. I am going to love having a piece of home right down the street from my ATL home.
I'm giving it a 3 because the food was good. But they have a child taking orders over the phone and they have this barrier at their door which makes communication such. Food was great and hot tho, but their drinks and condiments.... way over priced.
Pretty good! Ordered General Tso chicken, Chicken Lo Mein w/ an egg roll and some fried rice and they were all very tasty, though the lo mein was a bit on the saltier side ???
