It's a Sonic and bless their hearts they are and seem to continue to be short staffed. The kids that are in their try their best even when the lines around the block. My score is more so hats off to them. It's Sonic food was has been decreasing in quality for years now. I really only go for Mozz sticks. The burgers have the uncanny ability to get soggy immediately after wrapped.
I'm sick and tired of this sonic location. It's close to me so I go here. I used to love sonic. I hope it's just this location. I went today and a few weeks ago I got the all beef all American hot dog both times I received a pork mix hot dog taste like Vienna sausages ? I'm annoyed and the young lady at the drive through window cheated me on my change I didn't say nothing because I figured wuth good hopes my food was good. I paid $14.50 with a $20 bill. My changes was $5.05. I give tips happily more than I should but because she did that I didn't tip at all. Something so small wasn't worth stealing baby girl.
Multiple visits where they close early with no notice, is drive through only without notice but what took the cake was today!! Today we went and waited at the drive through area and no one talked on the speaker!! We waited over 5 mins to talk to someone it was only when I left my car did I talk someone. The speaker is broken. There was no note!!! I was told to pull up so I went to one of the little area where they told me "we are only doing drive through..." The person was very rude telling me she told me to up. This is one of the worse experiences in fast food ever!!! If you want to go to sonic, DO NOT GO TO THIS SONIC!!!!!!!!
Do not go to that d%$s sonic at 820 Oak Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. I sat in line in my vehicle waiting to place an order for nearly 15-20 minutes. As soon as I get to the speaker Im told they are closing at 9 pm and they are no longer taking orders it was 8:50 . Really! All i wanted was a bag of the Sonic ice and a shake. Given the benefit of the doubt the last time before this event my son and I went for milk shakes here at the same location. We pulled up at the kiosk and literally waited almost an hour. I would have left but had already paid for the order and didn't want to wait another hour to get my money back. I was given coupons for free food/drink items for the inconvenience. When I arrived home and looked at the coupons they had expired over 3 months. I would think if your business hour closing was at 11 PM and you decided to close early someone would have placed the cones at the drive through like they normally do.
Ice cream machine is broken and they don’t bother to put a sign up anywhere before you sit and wait forever since they can’t be bothered to hire people. The food is never fresh, always stale. Sonic used to be good as a whole company but it’s time for people to leave it behind.
Past few visits to this drive through have been horrible. You sit at the speaker 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge you and then you sit at the window another 5 minutes for them to take payment. You would think I ordered food for a baseball team but it was just 3 drinks.
I've been wishing for a Sonic near us and just realized this was close by today so we had to go. I would give 5 stars but they were short staffed and so we had to wait 15 minutes or more for our food. It was fun to have our meal sitting in the car - the kids loved it. Its carb city here but that's why you go, right? The slushes and limeade were delightful!
I go here more often than I should. Its hit or miss with them. Typically worst at night. I was the only person there & waited over 10 mins for food thinking its going to be fresh since im waiting. It tasted like its been sitting out all day. Buns were stale. Double bacon burger had ONE piece of bacon split in half. The Honey BBQ popcorn chicken NEVER has enough sauce on them and the chicken was DRY! My autistic son who refuse to eat anything but chicken bit into one and simply said, "Noooooo." Pushed it away & got up from table. $17 for this bs and the quality of food here lately has been terrible. Also not sure why it says 0.21 cent change on my receipt if I paid with my CARD! Not going here anymore! Oh and all THREE onion rings I ate on way home was cold. $17 & waited 10 min by myself for cold,stale, and dry food. Never again.
Please BEWARE. I rarely give a 1-star review but it is justified.I ordered 2 simple shakes via the app and checked in using the app. It was quite busy so I patiently waited 20 minutes, which was 5 minutes after noticing the screen indicator of my order was gone. I go to the employee area to make sure things were ok with my order. Someone, who I assume was the shift manager, rudely told me that people should call before placing an order on the app because "we just can't make it". Why would you call when using the app? That literally defeats the whole purpose. There were no reasons given on why they couldn't. I asked her why I waited 20 minutes and yet still no one told me my order could not be fulfilled. She simply told me they were too busy and she didn't notice. I was given a very insincere, forceful apology. It felt worst than not getting one at all. No options for other items to replace my order was given. She ignored me and went back to fulfilling the other orders.Tldr: they're probably short staffed like most places, but the real issue here is the complete lack of communication and ownership. They STOLE my money cause I paid via the app and I doubt I'll ever get it back.
I used to work here, and honestly. I love the food. It is a bit pricey however, but it does feel deluxe compared to most other fast food. I will state that I've got like a dozen individual incidents that I could site with previous managers (this was years ago, and management...even ownership has been changed multiple times since then), but it would be quiet lengthy, and while I disagree with some of the decisions as being morally grey at best, none of the decisions were what I would call bad, evil, or dangerous for customers.
