I picked up lunch today because I wanted some good Chinese. Big mistake, first time eating here, and I ordered the sesame chicken combo with vegetable fried rice & egg roll. Well, the rice was okay, and the egg rolls were good, but the sesame chicken was not good, very chewy, and mostly fried fritter, with sesame seeds thrown on top. Very disappointing, paid $13, not worth it.
I have given this place 3 chances and all 3 times I was disappointed. Everything tastes so cheap and sub par. It's not good. The 2nd time I came I was literally the second person in line and they forgot about my order??? I wasted 15 mins waiting on my lunch. No apology. In this pic is the chicken fried rice. See my one piece of what might be a piece of chicken? $8? I'm never going back
Disappointing experience. We usually go to China cafe on Grayson hwy but it was Monday and they are closed on Mondays. Tried this pace based on reviews and none of the dishes we got were very good. General Tsos, Mongolian beef, crab Rangoon... all pretty sub par. Also noted that their seafood prices are pretty high for the area but couldn't speak to the quality. I like Old Town Crab for that.
I got the beef and broccoli..it was good, we had two of those. The sweet and sour chicken was pk..some of tge chicken was hard. The sesame chicken was fried too hard. Everyone liked the fried rice and the egg rolls were good. Fir 4 people, it was over $50.00...we could have went somewhere and been waited on...and had refills for our $2.50 drinks.
I went to store last night and ordered food over the phone.i heard someone I the back hacking like I don't know what. I get inside to pay I realize quickly it's the cook in the back coughing without covering and spitting only God knows where. So I about faced and got up out of there. Shopper's beware and I hope you up to date on all your shots eating here. I give it - 10 stars.because guy taking orders on phone know what it is.
This was our first time ordering food from Red Lantern, and it didn’t disappoint. The vegetable fried rice was amazing along with the orange chicken and steamed dumplings. Everything seemed to be fresh and made to order. I think we found a new great place!
I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in GWINNETT. I can say hands-down This has been on my top!!! The food was extremely flavorful and fresh. Service over the phone was great. I wish I had more and I don’t even have a picture because I ate it so fast lmbo # Marly
The food was actually good. We bought a bunch of chinese dishes and the sweet and spicy wings. I was satisfied with everything! I will return to try more things on the menu.
I absolutely love this place. Everytime I walk in they are so courteous. My food is always very good and they have the best Singapore Noodles!
My first time ordering from the restaurant was pretty easy and simple since my order was placed online for pickup. I work from home a mother of three small children and just had one of those nights of not being motivated to cook so I decided to try ordering from Red Lantern. When I entered the place I felt out of place the man who was at the register ignored me after me greeting him... He was very short with me and cold. The appetizers I order where pretty good considering they were pork egg rolls however, the vegetable fried rice was very under seasoned as well as my lo mien. I believe the portions are a rip off trying to feeding a large family. I will not be bringing my business to this establishment again.
