Margaritas, great food and live country music. 3 things I love!
the food is delicious. i loved it amd the serve was quick with excellent customer service.
I’ve been eating there almost every night when I’m up this way And Eddie is a Great bar Tinder
Second trip to Pepe's tonight and I'm glad I came back. First visit was good but it was really late and nothing would've impressed me that day. Tonight however, clear head, early enough to sit and enjoy dinner, it was fantastic. Chips and salsa and cheese dip with jalapeños were fresh and tasted great. I had the Quesadilla Texano as an entree and was very impressed with the flavor! Give it a shot when you stop in.
It's beautifully decorated inside but our food for some reason wasn't such that we would return. I hate that because I'm always looking for delicious authentic Mexican food. As a vegetarian, I ordered a veggie fajita (was charged $15.99 for it), but it definitely wasn't worth it as 3/4th of it was onions - and not very flavorful. It came with some runny refried beans, rice, about 1 tablespoon of browning guacamole, a little lettuce, sour cream and 3 flour tortillas (the waitress said there would be an up charge for 1 more flour tortilla. Whatever you do - don't order this dish. My husband ordered 3 Enchiladas (1 chicken, 1 beef & 1 cheese). He said for some reason right after he ate it, his stomach was feeling a bit queasy/weird like something wasn't settling right. He drank a bunch of water & said that seemed to help. Nevertheless as much as we wanted to love the food here (how close it is to our house & for the decor), we just didn't. Won't be back "one & done".
The menu had some amazing seafood options that I wasn't expecting from a Mexican restaurant. They had fried jalapeno calamari and seafood enchiladas. Even their Three-way burrito blew my expectations. Everything was seasoned perfectly too. Service was great, never had to ask for a refill of drinks or chips. Worth trying out.
I have supported this restaurant since it opened and during the pandemic….. each year I celebrate my birthday there…. This past weekend I went for my birthday celebration and was told my daughter could buy me a dessert but they do nothing else anymore….. well I was drinking and didn’t want a dessert….. I just wanted them to sing….. shortly after that I heard them singing happy birthday…… I asked why and was told we would have to purchase a dessert…… I asked for the manager and was told they sing if you bring your own cake……. I have bought gift cards to support them and WAS A LOCAL CUSTOMER but I will NEVER BE BACK
The food was good, but not as flavorful as I expected. The chips were sort of thick for my liking, but I ate them nonetheless. Our waiter was nice, but at one point he left to go assist at the bar and it took him about 10 minutes to return. We are a patient bunch and things happen. He was also apologetic and that helps. I recommend the flour tortillas when ordering tacos, especially if you plan to have leftovers. The corn tortillas became super soft the next day.
I was pleasantly surprised by the portion of the food and how delicious it was. It was my first time visiting and will definitely visit again. I had the Super Burrito with a Margarita. The restaurant was spacious and inviting. The meals to me were appropriately priced for the amount of food purchased for 2 people with drinks. If I had to say anything else about the food it would be the chips for the salsa which I thought were too thick which are normally thin.
$17.36 FOR ONE MARGARITA???!!! The margaritas taste ALRIGHT at best. The drink menu has no prices on it, which isn't uncommon. I would NEVER have guessed they would charge nearly $20 for ONE drink. I feel like I was just robbed. For 3 margaritas we got charged almost $57.00. Food was pretty good though. So if you're looking for good food and don't plan on drinking ANYTHING, this place is ok. I will NEVER come back here though.
