Best food in town. 5 star food. 5 star customer service and 5 star treatment. The atmosphere is perfect. The food is perfect and the staff was friendly, professional and welcoming. Thank you for making my tummy happy and satisfied. Love it and will see you all again soon. Definitely will be a regular. Food seasoned to perfection, cooked just right, literally yummy to my tummy and I'm a picky eater and you have completely won me over with your amazing food, service and just an overall amazing experience. I'm smiling from ear to ear because you all have the best food in town. ??
You know the food delicious if you feel like napping afterwards.I had the catfish hoagie sandwich the catfish was perfectly cooked. It had some kick but it wasn’t over powering it was just perfect.
My family and I love Mak & Jack's! We found it one night on happenstance and have been back several times. Locally owned, so we feel great about spending money here. My favorite is the fried cat fish, I've also tasted their pulled pork, ribs, and shrimp and everything is too notch! Their sides are just as good as main course items. Some things are cooked to order so be prepared to wait but it's definitely worth the wait. They also only cook a certain amount of things per day so don't go at the end of the day and expect them to have EVERYTHING. That's not a negative, that's just an FYI. It's not a huge chain, they don't have limitless supply on hand. We'll continue to patronize Mak & Jack's and hope they're around for a long time!
Walking into Mak & Jack's is like going to your Uncle's house for a cookout: you know the food will give you "the idas"!I haven't had a single thing on the menu that I would not order again & again. The brisket is my top choice, always smoked to perfection!My only wish, being from Chicago, is that they served Rib tips ?The service is always great, the restaurant is clean, the people always share a laugh with you, and it's a great addition to the Lawrenceville community.
New locals with a family of 7 and I must say this place is AMAZING! Great food, friendly staff an overall nice experience. Kids were totally in love with the Philly cheesesteaks and burgers. My husband and I melted at the smoked meat options the Sampler is a great choice to try multiple meat options and sides. The BRISKET and SMOKED WINGS are our absolute FAVORITES. We will be back and have considered this place for our up coming events for catering services. price is also great! We fed everyone for under $100! Great spot.5 stars ⭐️ X’s 2!

I got the combo with ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were really good. The pulled pork was good. Collard greens were delicious. Sweet potato’s had a special ginger kick to it. I will try the steak and cheese next time. It seems to be a big seller there.
First time trying this spot because I was craving rib tips. They didn’t have rib tips, but I did order the rib plate. Mac and cheese tasted like cheese and noodles, no favor, corn muffin was dry ,Collards was bland, but these ribs are on point. If they can get the side better, this place would be on point. 3 stars for the ribs. I’ll be back
Its the collard greens for me! Out of all the places I have ever eaten I have never tasted collard greens that damn near taste like my Mama's! The MacnCheese is on point as well! Everything really tastes great here! The only thing I would change is that corn bread, that's a no for me!
I always order a porkulator sandwich. Because it’s awesome. It’s two meals for me. My mom ordered the catfish sandwich and it taste ridiculous good. This is my go to food spot if I am in the area.
