Passed by this place and decided to try them out. We had a curry chicken and curry goat roti. Roti was OLD, chicken and goat were both OLD, cabbage was OLD and Patties were OLD. We also ordered a side of plantain and they gave five pieces of the frozen ones that were also OLD. Not sure why this place is still open serving old food like this and we spent $50+. Never going back.

1st time visit. I would give it 2 and a half stars mostly. The workers were arguing for some time while food was being prepared. Wasn’t the most professional, It was alarming but nothing took place. They offered options for an entree but then told me I couldn’t have it done that way. I was kind of confused because it was options that were on the menu for the entree if you didn’t want rice. They were out of chicken. . .The Mac and cheese really disappointed . I am not use to the salty an pepperish flavor of their Mac and cheese . I’ve been to other Jamaican places where the Mac and cheese is much more to my liking of cheesy rich flavor if you don’t like a strong salty flavor do not get it.The ox tails were pretty descent with rice and beans.Plantains had the most flavor I enjoyed them the most. This place is ok but I’d prefer and alternate Jamaican place with more options, available jerk chicken, and different Mac and cheese.

Great Jamaican food, one of my favorites!

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to do so in this case. This was probably the WORST West Indian food I’ve ever had. I called ahead to order the stewed fish because it’s made to order. When I arrived 20 minutes later it still wasn’t ready yet. I placed 2 additional orders of brown stew chicken, macaroni and cheese and a piece of sweet potato pudding. After almost an hour, the food was finally ready. The staff was very courteous and friendly and kept apologizing for the wait, but it was just ridiculous. The food was not only over priced, but not tasty and barely had any flavor. Totally lacked seasoning. When I opened the container of sweet potato pudding it was GRAY, yes GREY on top and I refused to eat it.After spending my hard earned money on this over priced dinner, we were left still hungry. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Discrimination is worst-served by an old Jamaican woman!Today, I went to this little place to pick up a snack; ordered 3 patties and 2 drinks! I noticed they had sugar cake, coco bread, and black cake. I could have easily lost my entire mind in there; sorry, I digress.I sat outside and ate my beef patty and decided I should have another, just so I can finish off my sorrel. I returned to the counter and asked for a beef patty. The little old woman looked at me suspiciously. She then put the the patty in a bag and sat it on the counter close to her, instead of giving it to me. I told her that I would be using Apple Pay. She shook her head, indicating no, but didn’t say anything. I told her again that I will use Apple Pay and she said that I couldn’t for one item.I then revealed to her that I was just in the restaurant and used Apple Pay and did not have cash. A gentleman offered to pay for the patty; I refused because it wasn’t something I needed and I was just supporting the local business. By the way, I am visiting from Chicago. After the gentleman offered to pay, the woman decided to tell me that I could purchase the item with Apple Pay. The HUMAN BOSS MOVE would have been to step from behind the counter, offer an apology, and offer me the item, without charging me. You wasted my time and disturbed my energy over a $3 DAMMMMM BEEF PATTY!!!It was very disturbing that a business owner would refuse payments in any form that they accept because the order consisted of one item. What if I could only afford one patty and my account would be at $0 after that transaction? I could have been spending my last $3 in your place of business, and you were too mean to honor my patronage. As my mother would have said, “I went to Kingston 30 Jamaican Restaurant twice; THE FIRST TIME AND THE LAST TIME!”

Do not come to this place. After spending over $70 for take out. Come to find out that a quarter jerk is 1 thigh cut in half. A jerk chicken breast dinner is a few slices of chicken with hot sauce on it (NO Jerk sauce). I walked out 2x because they forgot to give me my soup and my cake and patty. They have the nerves to argue with me that I should've reminded them about it.First and LAST time going.

Food was bland, no seasoning, sauce to watery, rice was hard and old... None of the meat had taste neither did the side that was an additional fee...The cake they sold in the front was good that's it... My stomach started hurting minutes after eating so did my husband he even had the runs... Smh very disappointed we traveled 20 min was so hungry and ended up having to order food from another place cause we couldn't finish the food because of the taste... I don't recommend at all! My advice get a restaurant coach or choose another industry...

This is my FIRST REVIEW EVER!I was going to call the restaurant but they were closed shortly after the delivery. Also, I gave a one star rating because I couldn’t write a review otherwise.Based on previous reviews, I decided to try this restaurant. I ordered the jerked chicken wings meal with sides of fried plantains and steamed vegetables. The plantains and vegetables were OK. However, THE JERKED WINGS WERE HORRIBLE!!! They had NO TASTE OF JERK SEASONING! I’m not even sure if they were jerked! There was an orange colored sauce on the chicken. It was sweet.Even worse, THE CHICKEN WAS OLD!!!! So old I had to throw it away, wasting my hard earned money! The smell was so bad that while I had the container open, someone in the house came out of his room to see what carried that smell!I AM NOT EXAGGERATING ANY OF THIS!!!It seems as if the stale chicken, in order to make it look and taste fresh, was coated with that orange SWEET SAUCE!!!I AM VERY DISPLEASED AND UPSET!!!!It amazes me how human beings are satisfied to the point where they sleep comfortably at nights knowing they did something so awfully wrong!I DID NOT WORK HARD TO SPEND MY MONEY ON STALE, SMELLY FOOD!!!CONTACT FROM THE OWNER WOULD BE IN ORDER!!!I HAVE NO PLANS TO ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!

The best Jamaican food you can get off the island. Everything here is always fresh and delicious. The patties are crispy, flaky, and buttery, filled with all the delicious meats and seasoning you would expect. The jerk chicken is spicy and flavorful, and the curry chicken is so moist and tender you can cut it with a spoon. The service here is also stellar, and the owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Go and try this place, because it doesn't get any tastier than this!

Very nice atmosphere, gentleman at counter was very polite, service was amazing. The jerk chicken. Breast was delicious and moist! That gravy that they on the rice set it off!
