Love their oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. Plaintains were dry, didnt really like them.

Nothing tasted fresh or hot and lacked flavor so disappointed I ordered jerk chicken meal and beef patty but got veggie just not good plantains was mushy. I wanted to trust the reviews

Food is ALWAYS delicious and fresh!! Never had an issue with service or food, we love the curry chicken plate and beef patties. But a tip for the beef patties is don't come too close to closing cuz they are usually sold out.

2022 still 5 stars. Got curry chicken this time although I don't care for bone bits in my food the taste is phenomenal. Spices are great the Patty's are large. They give u tons of food. Tried Jamaican pineapple soda for the 1st time its great.I was torn between giving 4 or 5 stars. The girl at the register laughed at me when asking about menu items. After I explained I'm not Caribbean she did her best but ended with I can't really explain it to you. I asked for jerk shrimp and got curry, even though they did show it to me before I left it looked so good and I was so excited I didn't pay attention to the sauce. The food is freaking amazing. AMAZING!!!!! The curry shrimp the rice and beans the cabbage all of it is flavorful and delicious. I'm full and wish I could eat the whole container right NOW. The shrimp are large shrimp not small or medium they are perfect and all of this is why I had to give 5 stars. I'll be back for the jerk shrimp.

Just tried this place, it was go good I had to get some more yesterday. This place gives a good portion of food and its very delicious and authentic. I recommend 100%.

I’ve been going to Jays for years and the food has already been SUB PAR. Why do I continue to go there you ask? It’s because they are conveniently located. Today after attempting to eat a plate of jerk chicken with beans and rice with oxtail sauce I just had to say something. THE RICE WAS MUSHY (OVERCOOKED)THE CHICKEN WAS SALTY. I was expecting jerk chicken. Had I not waited till I got home to eat the food, I would have surely returned it. The chef needs to be retrained. I know we are facing some hard times, that’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend the chef get fired, from now on I’ll just stick to the Patties.

Awesome local spot for Caribbean food. For over 10 years I have bought different dishes and have never been disappointed, they always have great service. When I travel abroad or local I always have to pickup my comfort food from this awesome place, it just makes me happy to be back.

Wow! What is the point of having a dish with mostly fat in it and gaining no comfort of just eating the leaner parts. This was my first time trying Jay’s and I was veryDisappointed. The sauce had no significant taste to it. It could have been sweetened. And the meat should’ve been processed better. It is just dull, fatty and distasteful.

It's crazy how good this restaurant is. They are so particular about quality. Jamaica should be proud. I always order a spinach or vegetable patty, bean soup and sorrel. The bean soup is so filling and filled with nutritious ingredients, all homemade and natural! They have every cake and cookie. I am so lucky to have found a place healthy to eat. The sevice is extremely professional and fast every time I visit. Love this! And no, I don't know anyone there, no family or friends nor paid. I am a fuss @$$ so giving this type of review is due to them. Enjoy! Also, be careful about the reviews, there are several Caribbean and Bodega restaurants on this road. It seems people are confusing the restaurants.

Had lunch with a co worker today had rice with ox tail gravy and a patty it was pretty dang good the only problem I had they had no air on it was hot in there while we were trying to eat the place is ok clean the service is slow lots of people at lunch
