Not worth the money...hardly any sauce on my spaghetti and meatballs and the garlic bread isn't even garlic bread it's a loaf of bread sliced with large pieces of garlic just thrown in the container its not where's the beef cause the meatballs are great its where's the sauce(on the pasta) and the flavor (on the bread). I was raised in an Italian household this barely meets 50/50 in flavor and taste
So... where do I start? Our waitress usually manages the place. She was horrible- it's not that she wasn't nice, she could not remember nothing we ordered to save her life. When asked about dishes on the menu. She could recall maybe a few things off the menu. Maybe it's just me, as a manager, shouldn't a manager be able to suggests more than a starter, or a dessert? Anything else!!!! She was extremely nice and she admitted that it's been a long time she had to wait tables!??? I didn't want to give her a tip, but I gave her the full 22% tip. She was very kind and very transparent about the food that she could recall. I'm moving, so I have an excuse not to go back! The food wasn't worth the dollars. The meatballs were overcooked. The marinara sauce was terribly terribly sweet. The cheese and bread- I guess the cheese and bread that goes with the pasta dish was horrible; the cucumbers on the salad tasted like they were being treated by some chemical and the only thing I had was a House salad. It was disgusting I think if I had to do anything, I would remove that one star that is automatically assigned to this type of review. It was a horrible experience, but the waitress was a sweet person.
The food is good and there are a couple of unique dishes. However, everything seems way over priced just for the sake of being over priced. Also, it's really ridiculous that they charge for salad when the price per person is so high. I saw one server bring out 3 glasses of wine to a table and the glasses were a quarter full. So at 11 dollars for that quarter glass you would pay 33 dollars for a glass. It's downtown Lawrenceville not New York City. But businesses change what people are willing to pay and the place seemed busy.Unless you want the Dominick's Veal I would try another Italian restaurant first.
The food is always good here. A bit pricey so don't get to go as often as I'd like. But it's worth it for a special occasion or if you're a foodie.
We’ve been here on 2021, all was excellent.2022, absolute crap… they have must change chef because this is crazy, bad crazy… not even the salad was good. Ravioli were still frozen and upside down, marinara sauce was sour and aged on lasagna with very aged meat, penne tiger shrimps, another disaster.
Unsure if we had an off night, there was a new cook or what, but the food was awful. No flavor at all. I ordered the Dominick’s chicken and I’m positive the chicken had not a lick of seasoning on it, nor did the really gross sauce. The sauce tasted like low sodium chicken broth, thickened with corn starch. The waitress asked how our food was and we were honest. She removed our tables FULL plates and then proceeded to bring us the bill for $40/person. This is NOT Italian food - first indicator is when you ask for Parmesan cheese, they bring you a pizza shaker style cheese. I would not go back and would recommend staying away from this one if you want decent food.
Our server, Terrance, I strongly recommend. He made the experience. I came here with my daughter and she was so overwhelmed with the menu because she couldnt understand it. She isn't Italian. He walked her through the entire menu!!!! This has never happened to me!! The food was amazing and everything about Dominick's made our night!!
DisappointingI have walked past many times over the last 6 months. The portions are huge, the flavours, not so much. I had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, and they were excellent. I ordered the veal saltimboca as an entrée, which was tough and flavorless. The saving grace was a recommendation by one of the staff, Adrianne, for the penne and Tiger shrimp. And the fabulous service by Penelope. Both of whom made the experience beyond tolerable. The bread was kinda weird for an italian, think Hawaiian King. No fresh parm for the pasta either. One star each for Adrianne and Penelope! Thank you!
Super attitudes, great service and food was awesome. We arrived in town and wanted to go to another spot for dinner just to find out they didn’t do same day reservations! We asked some folks that were at same place as us, where would they recommend.. this spot was recommended by 2 different couples so we looked it up and called, they would take same day reservations so we booked. From that call to dessert, the staff was so polite and accommodating. This is a true Italian restaurant, big food, fantastic food and true “family “ atmosphere..did I say Big Food. This restaurant has half plates, and that’s a lot of food. I had the Grouper dish and it was as good as any restaurant on the Gulf Coast where we live, my wife had the chicken special that night, both meals were fantastic definitely a spot to try if you’re in town. We will be going back
