This was my first visit to this particular Captain D’s while the service was quick and the drive-thru associate was extremely pleasant the quality of the food was lacking. I ordered a number 8 and number a two piece fish and fry. The shrimp were flat and almost dry is maybe the best way to describe it. The fish just tasted warm and the Mac and cheese was horrible it had a brownish tent as if were burnt and just an awful taste. I can’t say if I’ll return because I honestly wasn’t impressed.
I didn't look at the food until I got home. It tasted old. They gave me 7 fries, 1 diping sauce for 2 different orders . They'll need to up their quality of the food before giving it to the customer.
Today March 5, 2022 my husband got two meals, and like before, they didn't give us slaw or fries. The hush puppies didn't taste good. Unless something changes we won't be going back to the one in Lawrenceville,Ga. on Pike street.
How can a seafood place not have any cocktail sauce? Really? If I knew this before I ordered, I would have left and gone somewhere else. I very seldom eat here, but next time I will think twice. Sometimes, condimentake a meal better.
A dinner for 4-6. Did not receive enough sauces. Only 4 of each . The corn on the cob was definitely old and over cooked and honestly the so called pint of green beans came in a 10oz cup which was HALF filled. The fish was oily. I never received service or food from them like this before. We won’t return. Oh there was only 4 hush puppies!

One star is for the west Pike location. Worst employee experience. We love captain d but this location is the worst. Out of stuff 90% of the time. Cancelled my grubhub order after 30 minutes. Why would you accept an order if can't deliver.
It sucked! Crab was absolutely no doubt disgusting. White fish nasty. Food was cooked with burnt grease.
If I could give a negative number it would be a -5. Horrible! I ordered the catfish FEAST and expected a feast (Silly me). What I received was far from that. 3 catfish strips no more than 3 inches in size each. Came with 3 sides, french fries, Mac and cheese, and green beans. I was given six maybe eight french fries, half a cup of the beans, and a small ice cream scoop of Mac and cheese and spent $13 for this "feast"!!!!! I was in the drive through but I am so glad I checked it out before leaving. I asked to speak to the manager and she gave me 3 more pieces of catfish without any fuss probably because they get complaints all the time. I'm still in shock about the lack of a "feast" this Catfish Feast was.I know the pandemic has hit us all hard, businesses included, but this was absolutely ridiculous. I read the article/write up about the company and how this particular location was established in 1969 (I believe), well the building looks like there has been no reno or updates since then. I'm just very disappointed as Captain D's used to be one of my favorite restaurants....it's very sad day. ?And lastly, it was not just the food that was horrible but the customer service as well. I could hardly understand the young man in the speaker. He seemed like he did not want to be there. The menu board was old and worn out. I could hardly read it as parts of it was faded out. The whole experience was extremely disappointing.
Their Southern White Fish is delicious, but this location always, always, always has staffing issues, long waits, and closes early.
