Started with gyro sliders--little pita slices with gyro meat and tzatziki sauce and lettuce. Delicious. Then had a cup of their lemon orzo soup; nice and creamy and not too salty. We had a family-sized salad and between three of us there was none left. It was perfect. We shared a luncheon omelet--Mediterranean style. The flavor and texture were perfect and enough for all 3 of us to try. Athens Kouzzina is close to the movie theater so make it a place to stop before!
Excellent hand tossed pizzas, the baked salmon was perfectly cooked and if you like gyros, try the sliders! Perfect combination of pita, tzatziki sauce, tomato and meat! Their greek salad is also one ofvthe best you'll have!
Food is fantastic. Fresh. Vibrant. Absolutely worth every penny, may seem a bit pricey. However, you will have more food than you could imagine. Potatoes are a “touchdown”. Sauces are just so satisfying. Athens platter is what I got and chose the Gryo meat. Kids chicken tenders were so fresh and with a light home style batter with herbs. Chips or fries for kids side, chose chips. Best chips ever. Overall rating 10/10
My wife isn't a fan of Greek food, so I haven't eaten in a Greek restaurant for years, but she agreed to try Athens Kouzzina tonight, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We were served some warm, tasty little rolls while we waited for our orders, and then the village salad arrived - a mediium size for the both of us which was more than enough. I had the souvlaki skewers with chicken - the chicken tender and flavorful, accompanied by rice and a large portion of sauteed green and red bell peppers and onions. My wife had the moussaka and really liked it. The portion was so large we could have split it. Service was excellent. Not much on atmosphere, but everything else was so good that who cares?
I was really craving lamb and decided to visit Athens Kouzzina based on the reviews... and I was in the area. The lamb chop plate was BOMB! The asparagus was a little on the soft side but still good. And that risotto was delish! But the reason why I put 3 stars is because the hummus was grainy. I also ordered the eggplant dip thinking it was similar to baba ghanoush but NOOOOOO! It taste too much like eating mayo out of the jar. So, if I come here again I know to just order the lamb chops :)
Decided to have lunch here yesterday with a friend. Neither of us had eaten here in years. The food was excellent and the service was also. Management was very warm and friendly. I even grabbed a salad for dinner! Thanks Mr. M.Ps If you’re looking for authentic Greek, check them out! Non traditional with a Greek twist is good too!
Excellent food. Amazing portions at a nice price. The staff is great.very attentive. The chicken gyro was delicious. My family also liked the taste of Greece platter with the tomato and basil risotto.Excellent hummus probably the best Greek restaurant around in Gwinnett. In you want Greek food in Gwinnett this is where I would go.
I truly enjoy dining at Athens Kouzzina! They have really good tasting food and amazing service, is located right next to the movie theater so it’s the perfect place to grab dinner before your movie. They have “out door dining” which is facing the inside of the mall, but the interior dining is very nice and clean. I also had their pizza and my wife had the chicken and it was all very well cooked!
Athens Kouzzina is a favorite of ours when we are in the area. The staff is always nice and helpful. The food is always prepared fresh and tastes delicious.
The food is good, if you can get seated. My family just tried to go there for a quick dinner, but after standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes, we left. Several employees looked our way, but did not come over. Finally I flagged someone down and he told us they weren't seating anyone, or even taking names on a wait list. By the time we decided to leave, the 2 people on front of us and 10 people behind us were pretty frustrated. Just weird.
