Southern Cruisine at it’s best.

I drove from Montgomery, Al to eat at the taste of lemon restaurant. I arrived at 12:25 my time and 1:25 GA time. I parked my car and walked into restaurant to be told they were closed. The restaurant was full but with tables open. I said, “the website says your open til 2pm”. She replied they were closing early today because they had been busy. I explained I had driven from Montgomery,Al just to eat at the restaurant. She said, “sorry.” If your gonna close 30 minutes early at least put a sign on the door so I can drive on by!!!!!

I have eaten here many times and it is always phenomenal! Good southern cooking "like Grandma used to make"! Their salad plate is my fav but you can't beat their Poppyseed Chicken and veggies!

blink and you will ride right by it. it feels like an old country church inside complete with sunday lunch. fantastic little place. the poppyseed chicken was sooooooo good. best mac and cheese ever. the sweet tea was fresh and still warm. it reminded me of sunday dinners with my nannie after church. definitely worth trying

First time. We have wanted to eat here for a while. Finally able to arrive before 2pm. I ordered the Poppy Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Mac n Cheese with Peach Cobbler for dessert. My wife ordered the Sherry Chicken with Green Beans and Turnip Greens with Peach Cobbler for dessert. Everything came out quickly and hot. I loved the portion size. Our server, Kaitlynn did a great job keeping our glasses full. This will be a treat for us in the future when we can get here early enough. This location is highly recommended!

Pineapple casserole is best served hot, and they did just that. The Pork tenderloin was moist and cooked just right. Mac and cheese was just like grandma's and green beans made you want more. Green beans don't always have that affect. Peanut butter ice cream pie was yummy.

Love the ambiance of an old church converted to a restaurant. The poppy seed chicken was wonderful. The salad plate was a tasty bit of old south ladies luncheon. Great selection of vegetables

Enjoyed my meal so much I had to get another one to go for a family member too. Service is top notch. I’m under the impression that the menu changes with the seasons; but I didn’t ask & do not know for sure, so check in often to what’s available.

The church turned into a restaurant was such a beautiful idea! The windows let the beautiful, natural light in and we had a great, cheap lunch. I got the chicken pot pie with cabbage and mac and cheese and a side of cornbread all for 10.50. I left full! I wasn’t a big fan of the mac and cheese, but you can’t like everything!
