Would've gave five stars if the manager didn't sit me at a table with a big pile of sauce on it. Lol. He didn't see it and put the menu right in it. The server helped clean it up and then I had a very enjoyable and pleasant meal! Food was delicious......I would recommend putting fried tenders salad in a bigger bowl so every time you take a bite a few pieces of lettuce don't fall out.In the long run I've been going here for years and the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun!!!! I also always get a great server. They must teach them very well
Delicious BBQ, the sweet tea was perfect, corn on the cob and cornbread was yummy! The baked beans were okay. The server was friendly but seemed preoccupied.
My chicken livers was fresh and soft cooked just right the sweet potato yum..The potato salad not good at all just plain no onion taste( nothing)..family wasn't please no one like thier plate the pork was smoked no favor and dry...the fries where awful no season taste like old grease..
We were visiting The Great Wolf Lodge and decided in addition to having a fabulous time there, that we wanted to explore the town a little. We came across Country’s Barbecue in downtown LaGrange. I sure am glad we did. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Everything is so affordable that we even ordered dessert! Looking forward to coming back!
Good barbeque is important! The service was great; the prices were about $10ish/plate. I love the fried pickles appetizer!!! The only sad part was that Mac and cheese is a special only on Thursday so we didn't get to try it. I did enjoy the food though!
Good place to eat. It was above average for a bbq restaurant. The food was hot and the sauces were great. Definitely recommend for lunch. The smell is amazing as well, with the bbq permeating the air.
Great place for some good BBQ that's open later than 6. The staff were very welcoming and helpful for suggestions on what to eat. There food was the bomb!! Best collard greens hands down. The lemonade was so sweet and refreshing !! The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and of course they had a nice variety of extra BBQ sauces you could put on it. Lots of food options and Daily specials!! The buttermilk tenders were freshly battered and nice & crispy. The sweet potato was huge and of course tasted perfect not to mushy. Highly recommend them for catering as they cater parties and large events. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. Check them out and support local businesses
The food was fantastic. Our family had the roast beef, ribs, tenders and all the fixings. The best part was the service. As we entered we were greeted with all smiles and multiple employees welcoming us. Our server, Hayley, was phenomenal. We had just left Great Wolfe Lodge and had conversation with her about or trip home which she immediately replied she’d make sure she’d give us all to go drinks so we would be set up for our trip home. She provided us with the best service.
We were there on a Monday night and there were a few other folks there. We were seated right away and drink orders taken. It probably took between 10-12 mi items for our food to be brought out. I had chopped bbq, baked beans and collards. My wife had chicken fingers and French fries. All the food had a good taste with the only problem being that none of it was hot, not even warm, like everything had been sitting at room temperature. The French fries were limp as noodles. We informed the waitress and she said she could put our plates in the microwave if we wished, but we didn’t want reheated food. She did bring a baked sweet potato in place of the French fries. The way the waitress acted was like this room temperature food was the norm. No worries, we won’t be back.
Briquette and ribs out of this world. The owner showed us what Southern hospitality is all about. I love business owners that are a daily part of the customer experience. The menu is fantastic, something for everyone.... but vegans lol. Highly recommend! Affordable, clean and delicious, plenty of parking.
