I usually always come to this tropical smoothie and it always has been an awesome experience but unfortunately today I was very disappointed. All the employees looked so miserable like they didn’t want to be there. The girl who checked us out (I believe her name is Makayla) was super sweet and kind though! I had ordered a Jetty Punch with peanut butter. It ended up tasting like a watered down peanut butter flavored smoothie.
So this was my first experience at a Tropical Smoothie location. First of all, I was never greeted walking in, which already set the stage for an unpleasant experience. It was so awkward, no one said anything until I walked to the register (and I was the only customer in there) . I ordered the island green smoothie & avocado grilled cheese. In terms of taste and quality.. for me it’s kinda just bland. Island green is just lightly sweet.. no real flavor and the avocado grilled cheese is kinda just okay. I would normally give this place 3 stars but the service wasn’t all that great.
The smoothies come out super fast however, the hot food comes out 25 minutes later. Expect to wait awhile if you’re ever ordering hot food.
Love the smoothies here, can't wait to come more often for the specials!!
Smoothie literally tastes like water/ice. No flavor at all My strawberry banana smoothie tastes like neither. For 5$, I expect more
I ordered a smoothie and a shrimp wrap, paid and waited patiently. My smoothie came up within 5 minutes but the shrimp wrap took forever. The were people ( at least 5) that entered, ordered and pick up their food/ smoothies after me. After 10-12 minutes or so I asked the smoothie maker young lady "Where is my order?". She responded that it was being made now. This is NOT an acceptable answer when the order taker was the same person making the food as she deliberately made other orders after my order. I'm a regular at tropical smoothie cafe but at this location I was not treated like a customer. I will never go this this location again because at other locations, there is a smile from the employee, an attentiveness to details, and a responsiveness to get my order completed in a timely fashion. I'm not asking for a refund but to bring awareness of this situation. This may have happened to other people but no one has taken the time to call them out for their poor service. When the order taker finally handed me my order I said "Did you forget about me?". She displayed a sly grin and said "Have a nice day."0 stars if that is a possibility.
Ah yes. Smoothies in paper thin plastic cups. They cant even keep their own branded styrofoam cups in stock. I am never surprised by the next level of incompetence that this smoothie chain can rise to.
EVERYTIME I go it’s awful. Today was particularly bad. Our smoothies weren’t filled all the way. We waited 45 minutes only for them to get my order wrong. The people who work here are incompetent and rude. 10/10 do NOT recommend
Staff was good!. My husband and I used to go to Smoothie King but we picked this Tropical place to try a new taste. But we were really Surprised and disappointed when our smoothies tasted like water, ice and cristal light. We are still wondering if we miss understood the concept of your smoothies or just bad selection ???. Not lucky day..::We waste our money and went back to Smoothie King. :(
They always get my order right and always are nice! They are reliable even when busy :)
