We wanted a peach milkshake and they didn't have any. We wanted a peach fried pie they didn't have any. I don't know if they ever would have peach pies because the person was so rude I couldn't understand if they ever would have them. Very disappointed in the restaurant
Still the best place in Cobb County to get a dirty water chili dog. Other places can try and mimic The Varsity but few have truly succeeded. The chili dogs were on point and the onion rings were perfectly coated and fried just right. This location the drinks are now self serve so you dont have to wait at the counter anymore. The only complaint that I have is that it was extremely hot inside and even the employees were faning themselves with plates to cool off. It was registering 95⁰ outside with a heat index of 100⁰ and it was probably around 85⁰ in the building. Other than that, still love The Varsity!!
So delicious! The onion rings our absolutely so good ❤️!
Just wanted to give a BIG shout out to the Manager Adama Basse at the Kennesaw location. He kindly let me In the Varsity before they officially opened for the day . My office had a LARGE togo order and he made sure everybody’s food was boxed separately, went out of his way to number each item as I ordered them so we would know who’s was what. He went the extra mile to not only give us a GIANT cup of onions that everybody loves, but he also bagged and carried my food to my car. I had to share what a fantastic experience I had. “What”ll ya have?”
The reputation exceeds the quality. My experience was sub-par but my buddies liked it. You need to be very tolerant of the excess grease as my stomach was not quite up to the challenge. I know many like it so there is my 3 stars.
Careful what you say when ordering or if you ask for a combo even though the menu board stated a drink is included i was not given my cup...and when i mentioned it to my cashier she insisted i pay for thay... Again. lol. after i had just asked for and paid for my combo...no mam'...meanwhile dd34 dollars for 2 burgers, 2 hot dogs and 2 fries and 1 drink is ridiculous for the food served at this place. Our food was cool to the touch and the appearance was uninviting...i asked for fresh fries and the manager? He Was very accommodating however my new fries were obviously left in the old grease a little to long and well i just tried to make the best of it. my next 34 dollars and the 3 of us decided we wouldnt be back...
Having come from someplace that has a "coney" or hot dog place in most cities, this place was a welcome site. The register person did goof up my order. Asking to get a 2 hot dog combo and wanting to upgrade my fries to chili / cheese fries, they didn't seem to get it. And simply added on an additional order of chili cheese fries for an additional 4.55 instead of just adding on chili and cheese for me. Had to have a manager adjust it. All in all the food tasted good. I know the kid running the register is still learning so they get a B+ for effort. The place gets 4 out of 5 stars from me.I would like to see them ditch the cherry coke for PIB or Barqs. But that's my opinion and I am sticking to it. :)
Great food. Great service
This was my first visit to the Varsity Town Center with the shopping mall nearby. Outstanding Onion Rings! This was definitely worth the drive. Spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas. As well as drive-thru options.
I love their chocolate shakes. They are like a Wendy's frosty blended with Sixlets, those little round, candy coated chocolate candies. I had a cheeseburger with lettuce and onion rings. Yes, the onion rings were a bit greasy, but hey, they're onion rings, they are gonna be greasy. They were piping hot. The burger was good, it was also hot and it was as big as the bun. I ate it around 3 pm, and was not hungry at all later that night. Their chocolate shakes are the best. It would be well worth the trip just for the shakes!
