First time in Ted's Montana Grill and you have to go! It’s a cozy little spot with amazing food.The Grilled Shrimp on Ciabatta Toast is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing we will definitely go back again. Our host Payson made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Food was good, we went the Bison over Beef the Ribeye Steak was nice and tender, Meatloaf was mouth watering and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.
We visited here on a Thursday evening. There were only a couple other parties in the restaurant. Our entrees were great. We got the chips, and they were very soggy. But replaced with fresh ones when we mentioned it. They had a very well done gluten free menu with lots of choices.
TL:DR- Poor service/decent food. What has happened to personal accountability? Waited several minutes at the front in an empty restaurant to be greeted by someone who didn’t bother to fake a smile or apologize for the wait. That’s fine- whatever, but you expect more from a place like Ted’s. Anyway, I have food allergies so I ordered a salad and asked for no eggs or croutons. It took forever for the food to arrive even though there were hardly any customers, and when it finally arrived, it had eggs and croutons. I let the waitress know that I am allergic to wheat and eggs and can’t eat it, and she looks me dead in the face and says “Oh, well I put it in correctly- it is the kitchen’s fault.” I would have been more understanding if the food had come out quickly or if she had lots of tables, or even apologized for the error, but that was not the case…. TBH, even though you may have put it in right, you still brought it to me wrong, so take some responsibility. The food was fine- it really should be for the cost... We ordered a salad to go for my boyfriend, and she brings it to us while we are still eating, and asks if she can bring our check. Maybe she thought that because we had a to go order we wanted to leave quickly, but it was her tone that basically felt like a big “gtfo”. I am disappointed and would not recommend this location to anyone. Would have given only one star but gave two because the salmon was good. Everything else was poor… Do better, Ted’s.
It was very busy at tables, so we decided to sit at the bar to avoid a longer wait, as my son had not eaten all day. I went ahead and ordered the potato chips with our drinks so he could have something in his stomach pretty quick. The server comes back with the drinks and asks if we are ready to order. I go ahead and order another appetizer that I expected would be longer than the chips plus our main food. Like twenty minutes go by and we have yet to get our chips. I ask the server if we can maybe go ahead and get the chips. They should have been to us within a few minutes, as those are pre-made. She became very defensive and instead of telling me she would check on them she just threw out some really unprofessional attitude with comment. Two seconds later the chips were brought to us by another server, as I figure she heard our exchange and brought them to us. The majority of chips were broken and some were even soft. They definitely were not even possibly delayed due to having to be made fresh. Anyway, our salads come out like five minutes after the chips by other servers, then like one minute later the servers show up with the second appetizer and our main courses. So, we did not even get a chance to enjoy both appetizers and salad before being bombarded with all our food. Whatever system they have going on with the kitchen, bar and table servers definitely needs refined. Very disappointing experience! I did still tip 15%, but I will not go back there again. I do not typically write negative reviews, but I was looking forward to having a nice dinner with my son. The server made me feel very uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience for asking for something that I clearly should have received well before I asked. I do not appreciate spending $80 on food (before the tip) and being made to feel that way. I was not rude or demanding to any of the servers.
Alyse stole the show. Went to Ted's with a first date and honestly the highlights were in this order, my classy and quite attractive date, then Alyse...from there it really didn't matter. From the second she showed up at the table there was a positive and real vibe to the night. Cute as a bug's ear, Alyse gave great advice on apps and food and was simply delightful. Honestly, I don't even remember what I ate. I just remember Alyse making us both feel welcomed and valued. I will DEF go back to this restaurant (hopefully with Elizabeth!) and when I do will ask for Alyse. Ted's should feel honored to have staff like her!
Fantastic service , always great food and drinks! Had a little 'hiccup' and was taken care of quickly and smoothly.
My bill is high because of alcohol but if I’m spending that kind of money the food should keep me coming back. Nothing is seasoned properly. Burgers aren’t cooked to order. The side vegetables are horrible. Close it Ted, and move on.

My Brother and I decided to go somewhere nice for dinner as it was my birthday…..This place was definitely not the place to go. The waiter was somewhat nice. The first thing I notice was humongous forks definitely took some use to getting to. The next was I only wanted one beer they bring me a beer and then maybe 30 sec later bring me another I am not big drinker and decided to indulge which one beer was plenty but now when I drink my first one the second one was getting warm ( which I don’t think anyone likes warm beer ) I kinda felt obligated to drink the second one to not go to waste as the opened the top already this I always just able to slide this under rug and continue to have a nice having as it not really a big deal. The big deal was my and brother steak I asked for medium rare and my brother got rare both where not what we asked for this thing is what considered blue just seared on the sides definitely not what ordered. Had the bison meatloaf sandwich with onion rings. It was awesome.Finished with the baked apple fritter.Absolutely awesome experience. Waitress was superb.
