So I am a regular customer and tonight I came in to have dinner. I ordered my normal a Texas selecito and a sweet tea my friend also ordered the same and a long Island ice tea we ordered a bowl of Guacamole normally my bill is around 48 dollars tonight I was charged a gratuity of 10 dollars when ask why they were charging me a tip was told it was an automatic tip that everyone paid nowhere on the doors or the menu did it say they charged an automatic tip that I had no control over this is very unprofessional and theft. It should be my choice to whether I tip or notbased off of the service I received in a restaurant I will never return to this location as I will not be told I have to pay a tip that should be my choice and this restaurant now claims they have a policy in place this says that they charge you a tip and it has to be paid when asked for a manager was told there was not one on duty.
This place is the worst for take out we will not be coming back for take out. Twice my wife got take out here with zero chips and salsa for to go ? She was told you have to order a meal!? She ordered the same thing we order when we dine in and get all the the chips we can eat at dine in. 6 Tacos and rice and beans for our son. This isn’t enough for a small little bag of chips and salsa ?? Bad business super mex or what ever you are calling yourself these days.
First time coming here with the wife, we are new to the area. Everything was delicious down to the ice cream topped brownie at the end. Salsa was noticeably made well, cheese dip is always good. I got a steak burrito and cleared my plate. Rice & beans werephenomenal too. Can’t wait to come back and try something else. Best Mexican I’ve had in the area. Highly recommend!
Their chips are thin and crispy, one of the best cheese dip with jalapeños. My husband and I were very pleased and will definitely be back. Beer prices were cheaper then any other place around. Our new place to get Mexican.
Stopped here on a road trip. This place has authentic food and friendly staff. Would visit again. Photos of the steak ranchero and lunch number 4.
Solecito (previously Super Mex) has been an almost weekly go to for our family. Food is great, servers are friendly, and our bellies are always full when we leave. The margaritas and specials they have on the weekends are a plus plus!
Not worth it go somewhere else! This is our second and final time eating at this restaurant. We ordered cheese dip the first time that wasn’t good but we thought hey maybe the just had an off day. Wrong! It was a bad experience from the beginning to the end. I called in the order and the lady that took my order had such a nasty attitude! They advertised taco Tuesday so I asked about it because we were interested in some street tacos. Again with an extremely nasty attitude she say no you only get the Taco Bell kind of tacos with cheese. I went ahead and still ordered the street tacos, a quesadilla, rice and beans. The rice had so much jalapeño it we couldn’t eat it. The steak was so tough in the tacos we wound up giving it to our dog. The only nice thing I have to say is the order was ready in 15 minutes and they have good tortilla chips. Not the salsa just the chips. Spare yourself the time and go one shopping center over and go to Las Palmas or take a ride up to Jiles and go to Labamba.
Taco Tuesdays are awesome. The 99 cent tacos are great, service is fast and friendly, and the overall value is excellent.
You can’t get better Mexican food than this place. Service is fast also! Happy that this is so close to home.
Ordered some nachos to go. Food was ok. Service was sub-par. Also, they charge you extra for to-go orders. Not bueno.
