Ordered a large italian sausages pizza and a medium shitake pie-pizza. Terrible, hardly any mushroom on my pizza, its dry and hard, same goes for large sausage. Crust was doughy, worst pizza ever, customer service was terrible, I asked to get the receipt to do survey the girl said it didn't generate one, meanwhile it did with my ordered on it but she refused to give it to me. Very unfriendly. My first time going to this mellow mushroom. Thought it would be as fantastic as ours in st. Augustine, Florida. But do not compare.
Food was good, server rarely came over. We wanted to order an appetizer after ordering food because we changed our mind but never got to because the server never came back and also had to wait awhile for silverware during a very slow period.
So I am normally a big fan of Mellow Mushroom, they're probably my favorite pizza place, but this particular store is a little bit lacking sometimes. The food is good, great even, but the biggest problem is that the pizza is consistently undercooked, to the point that when I tell people about this particular restaurant I say to order crispy. The problem is that a crisp pizza here isn't nearly as good as a regular pizza at other Mellow Mushrooms. From the look of the comments the GMs don't seem to reply to emails so I don't know how change happens in the stores, but I would hope I am not the only complain you guys have had about undercooked dough. Otherwise I enjoy my time here every time, and the cheese breat and pizza are both good!
I had the shiitake Pizza that was the best cream sauce I have ever had on a pizza and the real winning thing here was it was good the next day also. The mixed drinks were eeeerrr not so great. But that pizza made up for it.
My wife and I brought our four grandchildren, and were disappointed their was no kid's menu, like the two Mellow Mushrooms in our hometown.The waiter did bring some macaroni and cheese for the grands but it was kind of runny, and none of the kids finished theirs.However my wife and I both enjoyed our salads. The spinach salad is my favorite. And our Italian friend enjoyed her Meaty Meat pizza.
Lydia was delightful. She did her best to make up for the slow start I.e. it took awhile before I was approached for an order. My order also took quite some time to arrive. And, pepperoni was not on pizza. Lydia did come through with heated possibly on the grill pepperoni. Whew! All was good. I took half home and enjoyed the pizza cold and reheated. Sure, I'll be back. Hopefully, Lydia will also. Her personality during an unusual situation shown professionally.
This was our first time trying mellow mushroom and we were looking forward to try it and this is what we got. We ordered backyard bbq pizza, great white and spinach and artichoke dip. Great white and dip were good, however backyard bbq was so disappointed. We ordered over the phone and did not subtract any of the ingredients that comes with the pizza. As you can see it's missing few of the ingredients and they did not put the filling all the way. It was serious too much dough to eat. And we paid $20 for this disappointment. I wish I checked my orde before I left the parking lot. Please check your order before you leave so you don't end up like me.And during COVID is going on, none of the staffs at the restaurant is wearing mask.
The food is always great along with the service...Pretty pricey for a pizza joint but worth the money occasionally
Okay... here it goes. I arrive at the Mellow Mushroom in Kennesaw around 3:30pm on a Sunday. There may have been - at the most - 8 customers in the place who were already served. I place a to-go order for their large house pizza + 5 wings. So far, so good. I sit for 20 minutes and then go up to the counter to ask about how much longer for my order to be finished. The kid hands me my wings and says it will be a few more minutes on the pizza. Okay, no problem. 20 minutes later, my pizza is still not done. Now mind you, nobody is working in the kitchen. They are all just talking and goofing off... about 6-8 of them. I sit another 10 minutes waiting and then go back up to the counter, where the kids completely ignore me at the counter. Finally, one of them comes up to me and asks me what I want. I tell them I am waiting on pizza and they turn around and find my pizza sitting on the counter and hand it to me. When I arrive home, not only are the wings bone cold, but so is the pizza. And not only is this pizza the absolute worse I have ever eaten, so was the service. I can only let the manager know that I won't be coming back and certainly won't recommend this establishment to anyone. Why did I add a tip to the bill???!!! Ugh.UPDATE 12-19-21: I responded to Meghan (the manager) through email as she requested but never heard from her. I can only assume the responses are only for show on google reviews.
You can never go wrong with a visit to Mellow Mushroom. Awesome pizza, nice fresh salads, it's all good here!
