Used to be my Go-To for Seafood for a decade. Last time I was there some rude white guy I've never seen before acted as if he was running the place. He announced that they no longer accept EBT when I walked in the door! I've never been back.
So even though I cooked mine myself they will steam for you there, but the prices are great here and since I cooked it I cannot comment in how it is when they cook it which I will let them do next tom.
They have the freshest sea food ever, even live blue crabs that you choose and collect yourself, that's right, a self service seafood store. Love it ????
Crawfish were good! It seemed to be a mix of fresh and frozen. But they were seasoned well!
For my seafood lovers listen up..It's a bit slow, definitely need more workers, however it's locally convenient, customer friendly, fish is always fresh with reasonable prices, not to mention the steam cook and go on site great if your on the go or simply on your lunch break. So if your ever in Atl GA in Jonesboro there's your fresh fish and steam meal on the go. Enjoy?
This is the worst place to ever patronize. It took me 10 minutes to place an order because I explained explicitly what I wanted as far as the preference of my food as I cannot eat anything spicy. No spicy seasonings as far preference to heat was also placed on the order ticket. Yet when I received my food, took it home and took a bite of it I immediately felt the burn of the food in my chest and could have possibly had a heart attack because the food was extremely spicy as far as hot. I contacted the owner and I took the food back for her to remake my order over. The owner was extremely rude, spoke over me, cut me off, and then proceeds to tell me that she could not refund my money. I was trying to explain to her I did not want my money refunded I just wanted my food made over to replace the original order. Long story short... The owner ended up picking some crabs out of the freezer putting them in a bag and literally throwing the bag at me. And then proceeding to tell me that the water that she cooks/boils the food( crabs/shrimp/ veggies) in is seasoned with Cajun seasoning and spices.( I was never told this prior to ordering) Suffice it to say I will never return nor will I ever patronize her establishment. She also was rude to another set of customers that was also in the establishment as well and they walked out. Customer services had truly declined
"I just don't even know where to begin with my recent experience at this place. I literally found a big bug in my food! I asked to speak with the manager about the situation and I didn't yell or get loud, I just wanted to let her know that I found a bug in my food and to be more aware so that other customers don't experience the same thing. The manager then got really loud and rude with me and calling me out my name instead of trying to make the situation right or at the very least, return the same respect I gave. After the failed attempts for me to get the situation resolved calmly, I proceeded to match her energy and was loud enough so that the entire restaurant now knew that they have a bug problem. I will not be back to this restaurant given this experience, and I will be contacting the health department about this and will be sure to make sure they know her restaurant license is actually expired."
I was at this restaurant and overheard a conversation between a customer and what I assume to be the store manager. The manager got really loud and rude with the customer that was calmly expressing her concerns over a BUG SHE FOUND IN HER FOOD! The customer was not loud or rude about it at all until the manager basically yelled in her face. It was such an awfully handled situation from management that if the bug in the food wasn't reason enough, management ruined it for me. I WILL NOT BE BACK. Honestly the other bad reviews I see on this place makes plenty of sense now. USE CAUTION before choosing to eat here and pay attention to the other reviews.
It takes forever to get the food...too dang long.
9 months ago this place never failed me. I guess now they have new owners. They have gotten really expensive, I mean really expensive. I just spent $500+on crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, eggs, 3 flavored wings, sausages & corn,for my baby 13th bday!nNOT to mention I ordered double shrimp which they come L and was only given 1 To be honest the cooks are lazy they literally left the shell on the eggs with the seasoning on it. Some of the potatoes were rotten. (yes the left overs was placed in a fridge) The food smelt horrible after the next day. The potatoes & corn was slimy after next day. The wings wasn't enjoyable at all, they were fried hard as hell. Which means they were dried out not to mention they looked horrible(they had dark blood spots on them) the kids was afraid to eat them. I'm very disappointed
