Beware: the gizzards are spicy!!! I can't really give a 4 or 5 star since I had to throw my plate in the trash. Not because it wasn't good but because Ivwas only able to eat the fries and corn nuggets. I have been wanting to eat from here since moving to Jonesboro and finally decided to go in 2 weeks ago. I told the lady it was first time there and wanted to know what was good but decided to order gizzards since I haven't had them in a while. (She should have warned me they would be spicy). The customer service was good, the food was hot and fresh BUT the gizzards were ridiculously spicy and because I can't easy spicy foods I had to toss the gizzards. I called and told her and to see if all the meats were as spicy and she said that only the gizzards are spicy because they are soaked it hotsauce. I'll likely call back to see if they cook gizzards that aren't spicy but if not I'll have to find my gizzard fix somewhere else. But because the place was decent, the service was good and the food was fresh and hot, I'll probably try them again but not the gizzards.
I paid $15 and some change for a 10pc chicken wing dinner and the fries were hard and old and I paid extra for a up charge on coleslaw and the cup was not full. Chicken always good but the cheap hard bread and fries were as expected. Give a choice of sides without charging extra cause those fries are always greasy and old
I like this JJ's because they cook your fish the way you request it and it is delicious. There is one closer to where I live but 3 times my fish was not cooked right.
Served too hard chicken was cordial they would not replace my food. I spend Hella money in this chicken shack not no more yall can have it too inconsistent for my black dollars. Ijs??
They told me I can only get fries and Cole slaw with 3 piece fish dinner. Their version of a Cole slaw side dish is served in a sample cup. I received the wrong order in which It was supposed to be fish and 10 shrimp instead I got fish and chicken. No complaints there I got more for my dollar. They give zero napkins!! Otherwise the service was pretty good
They went up on their prices recently. Oh yeah, don't order macaroni and cheese, it's battered and deep fried!
I order a fish and oyster combo with 2 wings and asked for extra seasoning. I sub ff for mushrooms. The mushrooms, and chicken were extra soggy one the oysters were rotten, the food had no seasonings. I took the food back the next day, qnd got dried out wings, and oysters, with the fish....HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! When calling the store the manager seemed uninterested and the replacement was indicative of it.
I purchased and paid for a 4 piece wings dinner. The fries were cold and I asked for fresh fries. What did I do that for. I had to wait over 30 minutes just to get so called hot fries just to get some greasy unseasoned wings and the scraps of the greasy fries. Later on I called to speak to the Pion manager Eason to get less than mediocre results and said before he hung up in my face to say don't call or come back and the owner Ada is going to back him up on his bad management. This J&J fish and chicken is a bad representation for Chicago. Bottom line.
Small location at a gas station, long lines and wait times for food. They definitely need a bigger location. But the food is good and the amount of food is good. I will return.
If I can give zero I will.. They have a rude person working there I was very disappointed. Because the manager was right there and worker acting very rude, disrespectful, talking crazy and arguing in front of customers.
