Okay first of all ... this place is amazing. The owner is amazing && I can honestly say I haven't gone to a place where they bring out samples of everything on the menu. It makes you feel like you're home in a very welcoming way. The food was sooooooooo good. Everything that was brought out to us was delicious!!! I eneded up getting the fried shrimp with Mac && cheese && baked beans ... y'all... I don't even eat baked beans lol. That's how good this place is!! I definitely recommend for anyone looking for amazing BBQ. BTW.... I had the buttermilk pie && almost fell OUT of my chair!!!! Never had anything like it && I'm obsessed now lol.
This was my first experience here, very good BBQ, baked beans and potato salad. I’m very critical about BBQ coming from Chicago and this was a hit. The customer service was excellent. They let me try everything they had before I made my decision. It was awesome
A hidden gem..... Got the rib tips and pulled pork. The owner let me sample almost everything since it was my first time there... Will definitely be going back soon... You don't need no sauce really but the spicy sauce is delicious ? oh and the fried shrimp ? I sampled was sooooooo good ?. The owner is a very nice gentleman and so is his brother. Great place to get Sunday dinner... And just anytime of the week. Oh yeah Clayton County Employees get 10% off... Next time I'm getting a half of slab and some Brunswick stew ?...
This is the BEST BBQ place in Metro ATL, and maybe anywhere. Seriously! I have been all around the South, and around the world. This place is not among the best, it is the best BBQ I've ever had!
When I first arrived I was immediately greeted by by Dexter and Drake. wow was I amazed!! They sat me down and let me sample almost everything on their menu. I was impressed. Best Barbeque hands down. And all of the sides are delicious. Great experience, great food!!! I will definitely be going back!!
Food was amazing!!!! When you enter they immediately ask you is this your first time visiting which my response was yes because it was, next thing you know they are bringing you samples of everything and I mean everything. Where do they do this at? Lol. Customer Service was excellent from the beginning to the end. Prices great especially in these times. This is definitely my go to spot from now on and anyone reading this should give it a try.
Food was absolutely Delicious! Love that they let you sample all of it before making a decision. I got the combination plate with ribs and fried shrimp with a side of baked beans and potato salad. Even got 10% off my first order. Love the energy and friendly personalities of the owner and staff. The owner even asked me to leave some of my business cards once I told him I was self employed. All around, was a great experience. My only suggestion would be to invest in getting a new bright sign for above the door so that the public can see that awesome name in a bold vibrant color. I almost turned around because I thought the place was closed down. Let the people know Hookin Bull BBQ is OPEN and ready to give them what they came for! I will be back on my cheat days.

Saw the reviews and knew I had to go. No disappointment here. If it's your first time, you are given a sample plate, the meats were great, sides were good, that chest pie, I don't even eat that kind of pie but I will be ordering next time. RIB TIPS, tender very favorable, reminded me of Texas. The prices are very reasonable. The slogan NO SAUCE NEEDED is true but if you want sauce get the spicy!!!
