I have patronize this establishment on several occasions and the food is okay/mediocre. On Saturday, July 30, 2022, I had a nat or something crawling around in my black beans and rice. I had to throw away most of my food. I will never patronize this establishment again. No hard feelings ; but good riddance.
I ordered the stew beef and the portion size was plentiful for the price point. The beef was tender & flavorful! The cabbage was a little bit to crunchy for my liking and could of had been cooked a little bit longer but I ate it. The lady server and cashier were very pleasant and welcoming. The line went fast & I will definitely be back to try other dishes. ?
Food is always delicious and hot. No short cuts taken the few times I've been there. I recommend and will return. The okra and saltfish is my favorite.
The ox tail are very good, but if you don't get any of the sides they could at the very least give an extra oxtail and spinach rice ? which were pretty good.I just wish I had gotten ? another oxtailĺ. I have had beef patties from other restaurants in the area and they FAIL TERRIBLY in comparison.I must try the chicken patties and my mouth ? waters in anticipation. I expect that they will be just as good.I will be looking down when I go back because all I want is patties, but the presentation in the case talks you into getting more because it looks delicious and is always clean. You ❤️ never see where they have wasted food in the case without immediately rectifying the spilage. If I don't stay away I will have to turn sideways to get in the store because ALL OF IT IS SO INVITING.You would never think that looking at it from the outside yet I invite you to step inside, you won't walk out without ordering something...KUDOS FIRESIDE
3rd best Jamaican restaurant I had and I loved the ox tails and the lemonade. Everything was how I like it.
Overall great place. The portion sizes were good and the workers are very friendly. Ordered the oxtail and loved it. Asked for extra sauce on the rice and we got a hefty amount!
Pretty good Jamaican food. It's fairly authentic but the jerk chicken could be better. Also to get the sauce that goes with the jerk chicken on the side you have to pay $1 which is ridiculous considering they were going to slather it all over the chicken anyway. This restaurant has some good pretty good curry goat and the cabbage is really good. I have yet to find a Jamaican restaurant in the metro area that sells truly authentic Jamaican food. That means no nac and cheese and collard greens and other American dishes on the menu. Stick to true Jamaican dishes!
Food was good but the portions was very small for a medium plate. This differently isn’t two scoops. Food prices are going up an these people taking advantage.
What an inconvenience. The restaurant operation hours listed on Google are 7 am to 10 pm. I get to the restaurant by 7:10 am and a worker just waves his hands at me I guess to signal the sign was off. I touch my wrist to ask what time and he just move his shoulders like he didn't know. Not a moment he attempt to come to the door for me to really understand, but what upset me he looked to be enjoying telling me your restaurant was still closed. I like their food and I was looking forward to breakfast this morning, but if you are working at listed time change it please. I planned my arrival time before getting to work.
The food here is simply delicious and priced reasonably well. I’ve been back several times and never remember to take a pic because I start eating in the car. It’s that good. Try them!!
