I ordered the Mac and cheese lamb chops and yams, extra yams, extra Mac and cheese. I'm super picky about soulfood and lamb and this hit the spot. I wanna order more but they closed at 7 and I ordered at 6:30. I'm waiting for my kids to say they full so I can devour they leftovers. Worth every penny.
Went there for the first time today. Ordered the curry shrimp with collard greens and candied yams. OMG!!! It was great!!! The candied yams and collard honestly the BEST I have had thus far. My daughter ordered mac n cheese and buffalo wings. Honestly, the wings were just "meh..ok", but the mac n cheese was really good. I will def be back to check out other stuff on their menu. To each is own, but I do recommend this place. ??
The guy who took our order was patient with us (it was our first time trying their place, I wanted to try GA soul food after being here 8 years lol) which we really appreciated. Good customer service is hard to come by...hell, kind people are hard to come by. He answered all questions my husband had clearly and came out to flag us (letting us know the food was ready).The food came out in a good amount of time. The food was really good. It wasn't as seasoned as we would have preferred, but it's better to have less and let people do additional seasoning if that's what they want when they get home since everyone doesn't like their food the same. The only thing I didn't care for was how thick the cornbread is (but others may like it, just not my preference).I had a rib plate with mac&cheese and yamsHusband had smothered turkey wings with Jamaican cabbage and Mac & cheese.No complaints. Good job!
This was our first visit after friends recommended it. I was presently surprised because the food is very flavorful yet not salty!! I tried the lamb chops, they were prepared deliciously and I was thoroughly pleased without a prepare collard greens. They definitely have a great recipe!!
Loved this place. Stopped by on a Sunday and I'm so glad I did. The chef was super nice. I got a pork chop meal and a turkey wing meal, and a banana pudding. The cornbread was great. I really hope the community supports Chef Baker's Place 2. I know as long as it's open, I'll keep supporting.
I work nearby, I visit Chef Baker’s Place 2 at least twice a week for my lunch break. I usually get 2 plates (one for lunch and one for dinner). One of my favorite meals include ribs and lemon pepper Turkey wings. The food is well seasoned, presented to me in a timely manner since I only have a certain amount of time for lunch, along with exceptional customer service. Even when I need to reheat my meals, it still tastes as if it was freshly made. This a new business and I must say the job was well done! Support our black owned businesses especially during Black History Month!
A bit pricey, but I must say, it's really good AND, once your order is placed, it doesn't take long at all. By the time you step outside, get in your car, and check your phone ?, it's ready! The Jamaican cabbage is super good, the curry shrimp is too, the shrimps ? are a good size and juicing. I will definitely go back and explore more. I see lamb chops on the menu, it's hard to find chops in this area....
I had been seeing reviews on this black owned business prior to the brick and mortar. I am a true foodie I don’t pass up the opportunity to support black. The location is very clean staff very friendly answered questions about the meals. I ordered lemon pepper turkey wings loaded mashed and cabbage. I tried the chicken Alfredo egg rolls. I am super disappointed and confused about the previous reviews. My wings were dry and tasted frozen and thawed my potatoes tasted like instant can’t put my finger on the cabbage. The appearance of the egg rolls gave me the look of a frozen chicken Alfredo with artificial chicken tucked inside the dough taste was the same frozen. My cousin was heated and said she doesn’t throw away food but her jerk wing plate was trash dressed up box Mac and cheese and the cabbage. Owners please don’t take short cuts on the homemade Mac and definitely not potatoes. Feeding old food may not be in the best interest of your business. ?wasted money
My third time at Chef Baker's Place, food is great, customer service exceptional, I even got work from a patron of the restaurant who needed some handyman help! Black owned and operated by two down to earth Brothers! The food is exceptional! Tell him the handyman sent you!
If you want great food and customer service, then this is the place for you! The staff and chefs are so accommodating as well that they will even whip up something special just for you if it’s not on the menu. I’m very impressed and highly recommend.
