Greatea still remains to be a hidden gem of a boba spot in John's Creek. Their prices are slightly higher but quality, low sugar levels and cute drink cups and cafe are well worth it!Purely food based review:Mango Sago with Crystal Boba ($8) - Part of their new summer drinks menu of fruity teas. Super fresh, crystal boba and sago go well with mango. Not overly sweet at all, no adjustments needed!
Customer service was okay, to an extent. Cashier had relatively good customer service, but when I asked about one of my drinks being an unusual color, the lady in the back was very passive aggressive with it. I only asked because the matcha milk tea was brown, but normally, it's supposed to be green. The rest of the ordered drinks had no flavor, which is also weird because milk tea typically has a flavor. In short, my first experience wasn't that great, and I most likely wouldn't come back.
Great tea shop with a huge selection of drinks. The taro milk tea uses real taro and it had lots of large chunks in the bottom, certainly unable to go up a straw. I did add boba pearls, but was unfortunately given a straw that was too narrow and every drink was made impossible when it got clogged. Besides that, the flavor was delicious and I'd definitely go back (I'd just make sure to get the correct straw).
This is one of my favorite places to get boba! They serve a large variety of different teas and are always introducing fun new items.My favorite is the creamy ice tea series, which offers a rich depth to the drinks that not a lot of boba places match. Unlike others, this place has offered consistency across the menu and over time with great drinks! They also take time making their drinks one by one, which can cause wait times to be longer during rush hour, but it is certainly worth the wait especially compared to other alternatives in the John’s Creek area.
Tried the Watermelon fruit tea with Lychee jelly. Tastes amazing with actual watermelon pieces in it. The place has a cute ambience too!Lots of tea options with ice creams and waffles too. Coming back to try more!
Great drinks, service, and atmosphere. Love the flavors and the variety of their menu as well as their ambiance and music! Such a lovely local spot!
Our newly favorite bubble tea place and more!!! Lydia is so amazing and patient with my kids as they are newly finding what their favorite flavors are at this wonderful place! Thai tea is soooo good and the strawberry tea is my son's favorite! Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!

I’ve been coming to Greatea since it opened when I was in high school, and I’ve almost graduated college now. I still come back for bubble tea here every time I’m home! The owner is really sweet and it makes me happy knowing that there are many regular customers. Over this many years, the quality has only gotten better and I’ve liked every drink I have tried. My favorites are the classic Greatea, Cheese Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, and Mango CheeChee.The recent decor renovations are also looking great! Support local businesses!! ❤️
Love the Cheechee, especially the mango one! I'm becoming a cheese foam connoisseur between here and Tea Time in Woodstock. If you've never had a fluffy bubble tea drink or cheese foam-- omg you're missing out! Buttery, slightly salty, mild cheese, smooth tasting greatness. I've had the teas too, and what I like about Greatea is it just tastes of quality. I feel comfortable saying the Mango Cheechee is real mango and not some syrup or artifical flavor. I wish this place was closer to me bc it's truly [email protected]
