Food was very good and large portions of meat on tacos. Would have been 5 stars but the prices are very high and not marked.. you have to ask for updated prices to be read to you. We got 6 tacos total, 1 side of rice, 1 side of bean, and 1 soda and the total was almost $30. We didn’t see the prices on the receipt until after we paid.. $6 for small side of rice and beans!

tacos De chorizo are bomb
Currently, they are open only in the evenings on the weekend. Their prices are higher than posted on the menu. The place could be cleaner, but the food and service were great. We will be returning and look forward to improvements.
BEST TACOS EVER! Ever since we moved to GA years ago, my dad would take us to El Mercadito when they were still on Atl Hwy. Nobody’s food compares to El Mercadito, NOBODY!!!

This is hands down the best burrito in town. I had the Burrito Supremo de pollo. I was going to order the quesadillas as well, but the cashier told me that I should not order both because the portions were so large. He could have just sold it to me, but he did not. It was refreshing to see someone who is not just greedy. I recommend everyone go to this place, especially if you like Mexican food. Taqueria El Mercadito is my new favorite place to eat. Authenticity matters!! Authentic cuisine and authentic people is what this place offers.
